Identifying all the connectors and amps on a utility pole

LD Di
Hi, all!

New here, and hoping for some help.

Have a utility pole full of some kind of amps or connectors for commuication services just outside a second strory picture window: 20' away, at most.  Lots of signal penetrating clear through the living room and dining room, and absolutely unbearable in corner nearest that pole if window coverings pulled aside for light and air.

Unit belongs to a friend who is too impaired to advocate for herself right now.  I got serious flare up and impaired mental function from a visit...

Is there a way to find out which companies have equipment there, what it is, and what it is emitting???

Building is older, and the lathe and plaster seems to shield well, it's just the windows that are a problem.  Also interested in suggestions as to how to effectively shield this, but still have view, get light and air.

Thanks in advance,

Di

If walls shield somewhat, but windows don't, it sounds like microwaves.

Before you do anything, I would say you absolutely need to measure. However if it's an emergency, and you just want to try something, you can put 3-5 layers of aluminium foil in front of the window and see if it helps. Make sure it overlaps the window on the sides, in order not to let anything leak past the foil.

If the foil helps, it's almost certainly a cellular microwave transmitter that is on the pole.

Of course foil won't let any light through either, but it's the cheapest test you can make.

Next buy a microwave meter, like a Cornet, which I really like for microwaves, and it's pretty affordable.

For shielding there exists several different transparent fabrics, which have silver threads, or some other conductive material woven into them. These let the light through, while simultaneously blocking microwaves. You can google for things like Swiss Shield, or YShield. Or just search for "emf shielding fabrics", or "microwave blocking fabrics".

Now for the question who owns the equipment on the pole, I think you have to contact the local government municipality first. It might be hard to get anywhere using this route though, because they will categorically deny any health effects.

Thanks for your prompt reply.

Will it really take 3-5 layers of alu foil????  If so, glad I asked because I had NO idea it would take so much!!!

Has anyone ever tried shielding from these microwave sources with a product called Reflectix???

I started using it on my windows about 5 years ago when I suddenly became exremely sensitive in the visable light spectrum for a year or two.  I think it may also help with some of the other frequency smog as well, since I tend to feel better when I have these up in my windows.  Of course, now that I am not light sensitive, will be looking for a different way to shield the windows!!!

For that friend of mine, am thinking that perhaps sheets of cardboard cut to fit her windows and then covered by alu foil would allow her to experience how different things might be with adequate shielding.  Am envisioning these being able to be pushed snugly against the metal window frames, thus creating a decent seal.  Would also allow us to see if there is still a problem comming through the walls that we are masking to right now if much less than thru windows.  If latter is the case and still intolerable, she may need to consider moving, though that would be very difficult.

Has anyone ever tried using this cardboard/alu foil option as a temporay fix and way to determine what may be helpful???  Just buying expensive product/s without such a pretest is a very hard sell to a severely thought impaired and impoverished individual.

Thanks in advance for any insight you folks may be able to share.

One layer helps already, but 3 is better :) I have a neighbor with a WiFi router on the other side of the wall. I use 5 layers on the opposite side, and 3 layers around it. It reduces perhaps 70%. Hard to say exactly, because I just kept adding layers until the microwave levels were acceptable.

You really need a meter if you are sensitive, otherwise you may waste your energy and money on useless things.

Do you know of anyone who has tried the alu foil covered cardboard method of creating temporary blockage for emfs thru windows???

Or I guess one could also make a large shield like that and set it up inside along the wall to block particular sources...

LD Di, I have used Reflectix extensively.  It is a great product for blocking RF.  It also keeps the hot summer heat out and warmth inside in winter months when placed in a window.  I bought a camping blanket from a BassPro Shop ($20) which is similar to Reflectix but with what seems to be a different layering material between the two foil layers - an orange color on one side and silver on the other.  It's about the size of a queen bed and blocks RF very well for bigger jobs.

another thing I am wondering is if anyone has started compiling a list correlating symptoms with certain given frequencies.

this would be similar to the rife lists of frequencies for healing, but hint at which symptoms may suggest which ranges of signals are likely to be causing the problem/s.

I have a California friend who put foil over cardboard and placed in her living room window facing a cell tower.  She didn't have a meter for measuring the strength of the RF signal, but said that after two days the foil had little holes all over from the signals.  She moved and now lives in a forest with no power or phone.

For symptoms or effects correlating to which frequency exposure, Arthur Firstenburg has put together a list.  Open this link and then click on "Radio Wave Packet, 2001" http://www.cellphonetaskforce.org/articles/

Sorry that list is for power strength density and not the frequency.  I think it was Allen Frey who put together a chart for the government on the effects of various frequencies.

The aluminum foil strips or the heavy duty foil camping blanket or Reflectix will help.  Reflectix is easy to work with since it's rigid enough to stand up on its own yet still flexible enough to bend - it can be pricey.  Aluminum foil is cheap and easy to obtain.

Re: Specific Frequencies+Effects Lists:

And here I was thinking it was Barrie Trower who had made such a list, haha.

Turns out, Trower's list is re the PULSES (modulations) PER SECOND & their effects.

In Shawn Abrell's legal docs, Trower testified (2011) to his list & said it was included in his letter entitled "The Communications Industry is in the Position Where it is Sprialling out of any Person’s Ability to Control it: An Open Letter (undated)."  The links he gave in 2011 don't seem to work:  mastsanity.org & omega.twoday.net/search?qBarrie+Trower.

Thankfully, WEEP News has a copy but, again, it does not list Hz nor kHz nor MHz nor GHz but only the number of PULSES PER SECOND.  (Are Pulses & Frequency numbers the same?  He refers to a "pulse/modulation frequency of 25" at bottom(??).

1/14/2009:  "WEEP News: An open letter: Open Letter from Barrie Trower":

Over the years, I have compiled a list of known entrainment responses (followed by long-term potentiation) from these microwaves. It should be appreciated that each person will respond slightly differently, although the same area of brain/temporal/amygdaloid temporal/parotid/etc., will remain the same.

Pulses/Modulations Per Second = Possible Result:

1_Heartbeat Rhythm.

1-3_Sleep Pattern.

3-5_Paranoia/Hallucinations/Amnesia/Illusions/Drowsiness 'Absent' Feeling.

6-7_Depression/Suicidal Feelings/Visual Distortion/Confusion.

Re: Identifying all the connectors and amps on a utility pole

Thanks for all the suggestions as to where to begin to correlate effects with frequencies.

Also, thanks for the confirmation re the camping blanket.  That looks like a great thing to have a couple of for emf and other emergencies.

So far, my friend remains overfocused on secondary sensitivities and unwilling to address the emf exposure.  This is in spite of having had someone with a meter warn her it was very bad in the past and me telling her how badly I was affected by a short visit to the space she is in 24/7.  Seems too scared and impaired to entertain the idea of changes, kinda like she is tuck in the "freeze" part of a flight, fight, freeze response.

Meanwhile, I am actually very grateful to her for the short exposure and its effects on me.  As a result, I have already solved a long standing sleep issue.  If all cordless, cell phones and wifi ednabled computers ,out of my bedroom, I sleep at least 7 hours straight through with no disturbances.  If those device/s are in my room, and on a table at the same height as my body, I wake every hour to hour and a half all night, and have occasional hour to hour and a half spells of wakefulness, then fatigued and neeed naps next day.  If cell and/or cordless phone in bedroom at height at least 1' above my body, results same as if they were not in the room.

Solving this insomnia issue is huge.

There are many weird health incidents that have happened to me over rthe last several years that may also have some kind of emf component.  Will be starting to look into that now for myself.  Maybe as I share results of that with my friend, she may start doing something to solve her emf issues.  I hope she lasts long enough to do so...

Do I have this right?

MHz = million cycles or pulses a second.   900 MHz = 900000000 pulses/second
KHz = hundred pulses a second.  10 KHz = 1000 cycles per second
Hz =  one cycle per second.  60 Hz = 60 cycles a second

YES.  I formerly worked ans a construction electrician, and had extra training as a computer/electronic tech.  You have it right.

However, things get complicated if the basic signal with its frquency are then either pulsed on and off or used as a carrier for another signal.

Humans know just enough about this stuff to be dangerous...to ourselves and all life on the planet.

No, KHz is a thousand pulses per second.

So, 10 KHz is 10,000 cycles per second.

LD Di
sorry!!!   extremely impaired yesterday.  knew i was dyslexic, but had NO idea that my math was so far off, too!!!

Just turned off comcast router overnite.
Headache and lots of fatigue morning after, but some other symptoms better.
Wondering if this works like chemical exposures, where you can get some harsh reactions for a while after eliminating something that has been a chronic exposure.
