IV chelation done with DMPS?
Boyd Haley has an oral product called OSR that supposedly is the best for not dropping mercury on the way out of the body. Everything else does drop it (EDTA, cilantro, DMSA, DMPS, etc...) http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1386716 Klinghard liked the DMPS Challenge but according to a recent interview with Dr. Mercola, is recommending the OSR. OSR- Oxidative Stress Relief - N1, N3-BIS (2- mercaptoethyl)isophthalamide http://www.biopureus.com/store.html The big risk in doing an aggressive detox is that the body has to process everything kicked up by the chelators! That means that your liver, kidneys are going to be maxxed out if not already AND there is going to be mercury going every where (brain, other organs, etc.) You will have to do all kinds of other supplements to keep from frying yourself (Vitamin C, magnesium, Chlorella, OSR, ALA, etc.) This topic is so damn complex. This doesn't even address all the bugs, fungus, microbes, bacteria that live off the mercury and other metals and how to handle them! I recommend reading up on Klinghardts protocols. See the notes below. http://www.selfhealth.co.uk/Cleansing-Detox-according-to-Dr-Dietrich-Klinghardt-MD-PhD.html http://74.125.47.132/search?q=cache:Cqjdl4C0xGAJ:www.klinghardtneurobiology.com/KlinghardtAutism2008Derksen.pdf+klinghardt+mercury+detox+OSR+protocol&cd=9&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&client=firefox-a I think a prudent way to go forward is do a month or two of cell wall and gut wall lining reinforcing with Krill Oil, Butyrate and anything that will help the integrity of the blood brain barrier and intestinal walls. This is to ensure that there is less REtoxing of the body. Get on an exercise regimen of sweating so the liver/kidneys don't have to process everything. Do a colon cleanse and other light clearings to get the surface level junk out of the system. GO SLOW! If you are absolutely sure that there is no leaky gut, celiac, etc. then maybe your wife will be OK with a DMPS 6 month hit. I think a detox should take from 2 to 10 years. Anything shorter and you are going to pay for it. Andrew Notes – DK 2008 Autism Conference Deitrich Klinghardt, MD www.lymeinducedautism.com/images/Klinghardt_Conference_Notes.pdf It takes 7 years on the best detox program to deplete the body of half the toxic metals. You want to see the toxic metals getting more and more in the hair because it is leaving the body. Low sulphur levels = no detox, but get it up before detoxifying. If sodium potassium is the same then don’t worry, but if they are different then patient has adrenal dysfunction….medical grade cortisol will help. Reference values in children are not accurate. Low dose cortisol immune booster – high dose suppresses immune system. On a hair test if you don’t see something coming out then that is what they are holding on to and that’s what needs to be treated. Treat what is NOT coming out. IV DMPS only gets mercury out of the kidneys, only. DMSA detoxifies the liver. CA-EDTA – suppository with dramatic effects… 250mg for kids, 750mg women, 1000mg - 3 x week. For about 6 months. 99% of microbes of lyme live in the gut. DMPS may be pulling mold toxins and lyme neurotoxins. Porphyrin test – pre-corpyporhyrin – mercury, no challenge, direct correlation, shows improvement. If they aren’t excreting, locked in brain, porphyrins won’t be high. No test to show body burden of mercury. Kids need glycine – assume they have toxicity. (which type) Well with methyl b12 – di or tri-methyl-glycine. Test with cryon research. Sauna detox – if kid doesn’t like sauna they have active lyme disease. If they like the sauna then the lyme is under control. d-penicillamine detoxes central nervous system. IV chelation can move the metals about the body along with the toxic
chelator itself. The trick is to escort it out! Hi, Mike,
IV chelation is probably the most effective (also the most dangerous unlessyou have a highly trained doc) and easiest way to detox, especially mercury and heavy metals. However, I personally do not think that any detoxis a permanent fix. What I mean by that is, over time we all will pick up more toxins and so the need to detox is always an on-going thing. For me, tho, IV chelation worked for about 7 years. I didn't knowwhat I was doing at the time and didn't know much about toxins. If Ihad, I would have done detoxing (and avoidance) as an on-going therapy--a couple months every year or two. I didn't think of this when I wrote to Kris. So, in other words, Kris could still be bad due to less than optimum lymphatic system functioning. The doc who did my chelations filtered my blood. Maybe not all docs do this now? I had to go for weekly filtering for awhile--2 or 3 months I think, if I recall correctly. Great info, Andrew--may I add some of it to my "preparing to detox" document (with your name attached, of course)? mine was a DMPS and I didn't feel any results from it.. I can only handle one thing at a time.
I must first deal with this Tick borne disease stuff first, right? MD is thinking that the Tick borne diseases are suppressing my immune system to the point of I'm not responding to anything he's tried, including chelation, or I react badly to it ex: Quercitin. Note that DMPS does NOT remove any mercury in the brain or nervous system (ALA does however, as does cilantro). > I must first deal with this Tick borne disease stuff first, right? > MD is thinking that the Tick borne diseases are suppressing my immune > system to the point of I'm not responding to anything he's tried, > including chelation, or I react badly to it ex: Quercitin. It's hard to give specific advice on what you should address first... I know that I've seen a lot of doctors who've had a lot of theories, but very little of all that turned out to be helpful. Marc |

Hi again, Kris,
You can try repacking supplements in smaller doses into empty capsules and see if that helps you. I had to do that with my supplementation when I was most ill. Then I slowly worked myself up to the correct doses over several months. Sometimes it took 8 months or more to get up to the original dosage, but over time, it worked out for me. Now when I cannot tolerate a supplement, I automatically try small doses. If I cannot tolerate something, it is usually that the initial amount is too strong or the supplementation is the wrong formulation. What I am saying is I very rarely cannot tolerate supplementation in the correct form and dose. So many people cycle thru supplements and throw 9 out of 10 out, but if they worked abit with them they most likely could work. Another problem I have found is needing another supplement which compliments the one which I have been prescribed or deem useful for my purposes. If I cannot tolerate very small doses, I immediately check out supplements which might be needed to work along with the supplement I am having difficulty with. For instance, when I started taking molybdenum, I couldn't tolerate it and I checked it out online and found B6 and B12 might be needed with it. I tried these and immediately I tolerated the molybdenum better. This isoften true for problems taking amino-acids and minerals. Hope it works for you, Diane --- On Tue, 2/9/10, K <[hidden email]> wrote: From: K <[hidden email]> Subject: Re: [eSens] IV CHELATION To: [hidden email] Date: Tuesday, February 9, 2010, 7:52 AM mine was a DMPS and I didn't feel any results from it..
