Hi everyone
Will keep this brief as I am pushed for time, but just wanted to say hello. I am a 40 year old former lecturer in computing and have been disabled by arthritis / fibromyalgia / migraine, unable to work since 2005. In 2011 I began to get a burning sensation on my face - thus began a journey into learning about EHS. :( In order to prove to myself and others, I bought a meter and - lo and behold - there are high levels of EMF where I live. However, what I call "proof" others are calling "paranoid schizophrenia". I am a single parent who needed some help from Social Services for the first 2 years of my daughter's life. We no longer need them in our lives, but since expressing my concerns about EMF to so-called "friends" and getting a canopy etc, my "mental health" is now an issue to the authorities. My medical notes and other document are being with-held from me and it is only recently I have managed to get some evidence that these concerns about my mental health have been going on behind my back! Long story short, the police are involved and have spoken to every last person I know, even local shop-keepers telling them I am some lulu crazy conspiracy theorist who thinks the aliens are out to get me. :( The last year has been incredibly hard and now our landlord has issued a writ to get us out in 2 months, if we don't go, we will be evicted. The Council will probably think it is very funny to house us right under a phone mast, judging by the extreme cruelty with which they have treated us. Sorry, was meant to be short. However, HI! I am going to write another post asking for some help. ECB x |

Now that is a problem that I fortunately have not had to deal with for a long time... I guess I must surround myself with more enlightened people (and do my best to not talk about it when surrounded by people who are not). As for doctors, if you have access to "alternative medicine", I think they are more likely to acknowledge this as a real issue than a conventional MD. However, for the most part I haven't found them terribly helpful -- although most will probably guess correctly that the root of your problems are probably toxicity (or call it "environmental", if you will) and/or nutritional deficiencies. As for the "burning face" symptoms... I would suggest looking at: -- positioning yourself further from EMF sources (or turn things off if possible) -- replacing non-incandescent light sources with incandescent -- replacing anything wireless with its wired equivalent -- replacing dimmers switches with on/off switches -- replacing any electronics that are known to provoke a large reaction with an alternative (different brand or model) until you can find one that's better -- removal of all metal on your person (eyeglass frames, watches, silver dental fillings) -- increase essential fatty acid intake (e.g. fish that's not high in mercury, evening primrose oil) -- increased anti-oxidants (e.g. vitamin A -- preferably food-based, or a hydrogen supplement like "Mega-H" or "Hydrogen Boost") -- increased magnesium (everyone here seems to have their own favorite brand/form -- I like a liquid product called "SpectraMin" which is mostly magnesium, and also "Natural Calm" which is an effervescent magnesium citrate) -- EMF protection devices that work for you (for me, the stuff from quantumproducts.com seem to work best at decreasing burning face symptoms) And welcome to the group! I currently use products from Shikai (contains borage oil), but there are others that seem to work well -- if you are sleeping on a mattress with springs, I'd suggest looking at finding a bed that has no metal at all -- no metal bedframe, no no metal boxsprings or mattress. Instead, look at air mattresses, latex, cotton, wool, and wood bed frames. In doing so, you may need to be aware of other non-EMF issues like chemical offgassing or poor dissipation of body heat, but at least they should be better from an EMF standpoint. Marc |
great list, marc!
i'd also add that inflammation/burning is the color RED. GREEN counteracts red… i consume lots of dark, green, leafy vegetables. one way to do it easily is to blend some fruit with greens… the resulting drink will taste like the fruit, not greens. i also have a HUGE salad at night - primarily those spring greens, baby greens, or spinach. i recently got a great little blender - the nutribullet. makes it easy. i also have a vitamix that easily liquifies even hard greens like kale. patricia On Apr 18, 2013, at 11:05 AM, Marc Martin <[hidden email]> wrote: >> As for the "burning face" symptoms... Thanks for the welcomes!
Just to clarify Marc - it doesn't help if you have a vindictive Ex who keeps going round telling your friends that you believe you are being electronically harassed by the "secret government". Now, I know that DEW weapons exist and when I first heard about that, it was a little scary... but... I am less concerned with how the EMF gets into my environment than how to live with it, if you see what I mean. Perhaps I have caused trouble by not talking to my friends about it prior to my ex doing so (I assume - he has admitted secretly taking the numbers). Of course this is complicated by my attitude towards government, which either way is bad!!! One way or another they are destroying the health of the nation. As for your suggestions - I have done some of them; Evening Primrose & Oils (Hemp, Starflower, it varies) Working my way through making technologies better, e.g. got wireless turned off on router, but will look at getting non-broadcasting one as got a BT Home-Hub & read bad things about them sneakily transmitting as part of BT's WiFi network. FILLINGS - I have only got one - amalgam - how do I get it removed? Has anyone done this? Or must you get the tooth pulled? Anti-oxidants, I did not know about. Thanks! I just got some Magnesium Tissue Salts (phosphate) which I am hoping will rescue me on nights I suffer the dreaded Restless Legs (which is also Restless Arms in my case). I have memory foam mattress and earthing sheet. A thick face cream is a must for me, I use one which is free of parabens and supposed to be for hands, I think. At times I have resorted to sun stick which actually DOES work. I am going to look at Quantum products, thank you. --- In [hidden email], Marc Martin <marc@...> wrote: > > > As for the "burning face" symptoms... What you should do is look for a nearby "holistc" or "mercury-free" dentist (that is, a dentist who realizes that mercury in your mouth is bad for you), as they won't think you're crazy to replace it, and will also have special procedures and equipment to minimize everyone's exposure to mercury vapors during removal. If you cannot find such a dentist, I would suggest asking around at a local health food store or maybe a chiropractor office (the dentists may advertise there, or there may be a staff member who knows someone). You don't need the tooth to be pulled -- they just replace the filling with composite materials, which don't act as antennas for EMF. Also, I'd say that ANY metal in your mouth is bad -- gold fillings, braces, mouthpieces with metal reinforcements, etc. > I have memory foam mattress and earthing sheet. Interesting that you do well with an earthing sheet -- some people are made worse by them, especially if plugged into an outlet that has a lot of EMF noise on the ground wiring. > At times I have resorted to sun stick which actually DOES work. Note that Quantum Products is an American company, so a few of their products won't work in the UK. Specifically the Quantum Power Conditioners require 110v/60hz, so they won't work. Which is a pity, as these are their least expensive items. The Quantum Home or Pro should work, but you'd need to get them shipped with the right kind of 12v DC adapter. And if you have a computer running Microsoft Windows, you could try their free download software ("Quantum Byte") which I think would serve as an indicator as to whether their other, stronger products might be helpful to you. And there are similar products available in the UK, but they are not marketed for EMF protection, but rather as a way to improve the quality of expensive audio/video equipment: http://www.whathifi.com/News/Russ-Andrews-Clarity-Pro-uses-coherence-technology/ http://www.kempelektroniks.com/Shunt-Conditioners/Quantum-Approach-Plug.aspx Marc |

Hi Egg
First off - huge sympathy for you - in your situation and for the way you have been treated - there isn't a receptive audience in the UK I find to people who talk about what we as Essers are experiencing because the sad fact is that our society and our economy now runs on this technology and the fact that it is damaging the health of many, and will soon affect up to 50% of the population from what I have read recently, is for too many people an inconvenient truth - to use the words of Al Gore. The authorities just don't want to deal with it because it is more convenient for them to deny the fact that it is causing damage and put the "blame" back on to the sufferers [the "it's all in your mind" diagnosis]. So on this basis my second suggestion is that you will need to garner as much substantiated published research as possible to use in your support if that is how you see yourself proceeding. I am afraid that when i saw which way the wind was blowing I adopted the strategy of not disclosing my status to anyone but my closest family [and even they don't get it because their lives run on this technology and they make no allowances for me whatsoever - no switching off of phones or anything]. Only one friend knows and she more or less gets it - but it is becoming increasingly more difficult for me in other areas to not have a cell phone and not to be able to offer an explanation as to why I don't have one when everyone else does. But as far as medical authorities etc here I wouldn't disclose that I am ES because I know for certain they would think I was a nutter! BTW There is a doctor in the UK who had to quit his job because of ES - he has a website - I am sorry I cannot remember it off the top of my mind now but if you google ES and the UK ity might come up - he might be able to help you with the medical authorities or be able to offer some advice. Hope things improve for you and that you don't get evicted. Steph, Thanks for the sensitive and caring reply, I did endeavour to keep my EHS secret, knowing that people would not understand, but in order to have complete secrecy I would need to keep people out of my house. It hasn't been possible to do that and unfortunately some nasty types have sought to use it against me. One way or another there isn't much I can do about it and now I am left having to deal with the consequences.
Marc, perhaps eventually I will be able to earth to a bonding point on a proper outdoor earthing post. But yes, it does help. I certainly know the difference if I do not sleep on it. Ingredients in sun creams etc, yes I know they are not ideal but frankly when the burning is severe I will use it. Has to be high factor and I prefer the sticks to the creams. Gel packs also provide relief but can't really walk around with those on your face! Thanks for the input on Quantum products, perhaps I'd be better off finding a UK equivalent. --- In [hidden email], Marc Martin <marc@...> wrote: > > On April 18, "egg_chips_and_beans" <charliefoulkes@...> wrote: > > FILLINGS - I have only got one - amalgam - how do I get it removed? > > Has anyone done this? Essential oil of Patchouli, from a clean source, diluted with clean water, is protective of uv radiation.

I have got face cream with aloe in it and also an aloe plant, there is also a gel I used for a while around xmas when the burning was strong on my legs. It did help. Liz Patchouli, can't bear the smell, my ex used to wear it. In fact, his entire house stank of it so badly I have had to throw away some things which it would not wash out of. Marc Thanks for the bentonite, did not know about that. Sounds a good way to get short-term relief and beautify at the same time. Ideal. :) --- In [hidden email], Marc Martin <marc@...> wrote: > > On April 18, "egg_chips_and_beans" <charliefoulkes@...> wrote: > > Ingredients in sun creams etc, yes I know they are not ideal but frankly when > > the burning is severe I will use it.
