How many of us with EHS had some kind of whiplash or trauma to the neck or spinal cord?

Elle
I consulted with a trusted doctor who has been always very curious and knowledgable.
I confided in him about my past horrific year wit increasing sensitivity to RF and EMF/Electrical fields.  And the increase of these symptoms over the years since I started experiencing serious health issues near cell towers.

He was very concerned and he said it could be one of several issues related to injury or degeneration related to any of the following:
-Injury to Posterior Column Spinal cord, up high  / Affects Light touch, temperature regulation and sense vibration making me more sensitive to vibrations
-Dorsal spinal column
-Leisions
-Tumor/s
-Cysts
-Pressure on the brain stem
-Damage to blood supply to the base of skull

He recommended an open MRI with no contrast or a 3-D MRI, but that one has more exposure so NO...

I am considering it, but I am afraid understandably.

This just got me thinking how many of us had had whiplash or any falls, concussions,  trauma to the spine that led us to this condition.

Hi Elle.  I had a minor whiplash from a rear end collision 30 years ago, but I only began to get have physical symptoms from RF within the past 10 years... That was due to a work environment that had strong wifi signals and close proximity to a cell tower array.  It's possible there are so many diverse symptoms with EHS because the causes are diverse.  I'm high in copper and had dysbiosis.  Another person might be a different metal, chemical or some metabolic pathway... I had a brain MRI when I was younger, and it really felt like my marbles were scrambled for quite a while.  If you are on the fence about the test, maybe ask your doc what the treatment would be if they find anything on the list?  Are there other ways to eliminate those questions besides an MRI?

My experience with this is that I saw over a dozen specialists, did all kinds of tests.  All of the tests were normal, since all the docs were just fishing in the dark. I had symptoms. They were compelled to rule things out.  I had to prove it to myself by going out to the forest, far away from cell towers for a couple of weeks, and I began to sleep and feel better.  That way I knew it was something going on outside my body.  It was environmental.  If I had still felt terrible away from all the RF, then I would have known it was something going on inside my body.  As I returned to the city, wifi and cell towers, my symptoms came back.  I found a direct cause and effect between my symptoms and the strength of the RF sources.  Make sense?

It's good to have a trusted doctor, but trust your gut instinct on this as well.

Elle, I had a gymnastics neck injury as a child.  Had a cervical discectomy with fusion of two levels in 2009 many years later.  Realized that I was ES in 2011, but had ES symptoms from cordless and mobile phones long before that which doctors labeled as depression and heart palpitations; they had no explanation for the burning red ear, head pain, and brain fog when using a mobile phone.

:)  Agreeing but still worried about potential issue with lack of proper blood flow that might be correctable... but it can wait.

I do get it. I know when I am away from all RF and now EMF I feel improvement.  But how can I live away from electricity?  Ugh...

I think damage to the spine, brain, nerves are the beginning of the problem where the body becomes sensitized to other man-made toxins and EMF. leaks calcium and the entire biochemistry gets messed up.  It's quite sad.

um... if you don't remember having this serious of an injury, you probably don't have a physical one.  A lot (certainly not all, but) of ES damage can be due to things that are far harder to track down:  gut barrier problems, blood-brain barrier problems, imbalances in your secondary nervous system that can basically only be worked on by an energy worker or acupuncturist (I highly recommend acupuncture, but only from a practitioner who is willing to listen to both your body and your personal input and not just follow what they think is the standard protocol.)

I probably had an upper spinal cord injury when I was a toddler, based on quite a few nerves not working normally.

Elle this is a very interesting topic. Dr John Bergman chiropractor and generally awesome person, says many diseases and problems are caused by spinal column nerve impingement or misalignment, leading to sympathetic nervous system disorders and from there to downstream effects. He cures people from many modern illnesses with his spinal column readjustments. I would have gone to see him long ago if he didn't live on the other side of the world from me. I injured my back in the year 2000, which I believe has contributed to my current situation.

Here is his Youtube channel:
