According to TriField TF2, if the power cord touches a wooden desk, the desk inherits some of electric field.
I didn't know that this happened with wood, but have seen this happen with granite countertops.
I don't know a cheap effective way to shield electric field from a power cord.
Does anyone know?
Maybe not so cheap but could replace with a shielded cord available online, or place cord inside a long metal pipe. What about wrapping the cord with aluminum tape available from hardware stores - anyone know if this would help enough?
