Hot spots from underfloor wiring

alinepapille
Aloha to all,

Still struggling with being very uncomfortable in our home. There
are 'hot spots' all over the house (only 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom
don't have them).

I talked to Charles at EMF services and he says it is probably due to
faulty wiring but he doesn't know of anyone in Maui who could help us.

I can hardly stand being in the kitchen - just realised that where I
stand to prepare food there are readings of up to 8 mg when the
fridge and lights are on, 10 mg when the oven is on too (this spot is
not near any of these appliances - it's coming from wiring under the
floor)

We found readings of up to 20 mg in the ceiling underneath where
wires run.

Even though my husband has noticed that he gets fluttering in his
heart when watching TV (readings at the couch are up to 5 mg
depending on what is switched on) he still regularly goes back
to 'Maybe these readings are normal'.

There are no hot spots in our downstairs apartment (which of course
has no wiring under the floor) so I want to ask those of you who live
in upstairs apartments: IS THIS NORMAL?! Do any of you have hot spots
all over the house from underfloor wiring?

I would really appreciate your feedback - still haven't got my
husband convinced that what I am experiencing is real!

Thanks,
Aline

Very curious.

Please, only hear this as a question (not a judgement or criticism): If you have symptoms under as fan with
readings of 0 and you have symptoms near other devices with higher readings (5-10 mG), why do you think your
symptoms are related to electromagnetic fields?

I live in the upper floor of a condo. There is a very low
ambient magnetic field here (less than 0.2 average). Whereas
downstairs readings fluctuate from 0.3 (fall when neither heat
or AC are on) to 1.4 (summer with AC running).

It's not uncommon for appliances to emit fields. That's why
I keep the fuses switched off when not in use. What are
the general ambient readings, besides these hot spots? Every
domicile has hot spots near the floors where wires pass.

Anyway, you can have a bad neutral connection to the house.
What's happening is the current is finding it's way through
the next path of least resistance, which is through your
grounding, pipes, etc.

Hi Emil,

What I feel from overhead fans is mild compared to the discomfort I
feel when sitting at the computer or sitting/standing at the 'hot
spots'.

The fan that made me feel most uncomfortable was the one that was
directly over my head when I am sitting at the computer. Felt like
the energy was coming at me from the computer, going through my body
and up through my head towards the fan. Possibly the metal in the
fans or some component of the motor is acting as a conductor. That's
just a wild guess. I really don't know.

We changed the fan for a small light (which is also much further
away) and it feels so much better. I can stay at the computer for
longer now.

A fan that is in the bedroom that has no hot-spots (and no appliances
plugged into the bedroom) doesn't bother me much.

I also feel energy emanating from people (that started when I was 15)
and some people's energy fields really invade mine in a similar way
to the EMFs.

I wish I had a measurable explanation for the fan thing!

Hi Eli,

There is a low ambient magnetic field throughout the house also - a
little over 0.2 - and of course I know that it is normal for
appliances to emit fields.

When you say it is normal for a house to have hot spots near the
floors where wires pass are you talking about readings of up to 8
milligauss over quite large areas that are nowhere near appliances??
(actually up to 20 mg when measured at the ceiling in the garage
below).

There are no readings when we switch the power off at the mains so
current isn't coming from the water pipes in the street.

Regarding the fan, electric motors give off harmonics or other higher
frequency electromagnetic "noise" that isn't going to show up on a 60
hertz gaussmeter, if that's what you're measuring with.

Hi John,

Thanks for your input. I presume that the fan motor only gives off
this other electromagnetic noise when it is switched on.

??
