Headphones

Revisiting headphones. My old Sennheiser seems to be emitting more than I thought as I tested them with my meter and it beeped near the pads. I use them to watch TV for hours and never seem to bother me but I am concerned about the danger.
I started an old thread about Ultrasone headphones which supposedly are made to reduce radiation but years ago I tested the cheapest model and it still gave off EMFs according to my meter.
Any options out there that people use and are good with? I don't like Bass and want to use them mainly to watch TV with.

All headphones are going to emit EMF. From the speakers.

My issue with headphones is that they cause me head pain, so I would usually choose speakers that are several feet away from me over headphones.

Years ago I purchased a bunch of different headphones & earbuds, and my reactions to them varied from bad to not-so-bad. So when I need to use headphones now, I just use the ones that are not-so bad.

I really don't feel bad at all with the Sennheiser 414, a really old model (I think it was their first). Been using them for over a decade. I use them because my den is close to the living room where another TV is playing so in order to hear my TV headphones are needed. I also used them in my previous apartment of 12 years because there was a road nearby and it was easier to hear using them.

I guess I got a little concerned when I tested them, I really thought they wouldn't test bad since they don't bother me.

You think Ultrasone is full of it when they claim low EMF? I once bought their cheapest model and it tested high but someone said the more expensive models have the best EMF protection.

have you guys tried the ear buds, with an "air tube" extention. i use those for phone calls, when i need to take one. Those seem to work really good, and the speakers are outside the ears as well.

No, this is for using with a TV, not a cell phone

Air tubes still have EMF, it's just typically at your chest instead of your ears. So for me, that means I get chest pains rather than head pains (seriously).

Also the sound quality is terrible with air tubes, so I use ear buds when I cannot use speakers.
