HIGH VOLTAGE FROM USB CABLE

PUK
I have been feeling very rough for a few days, first it was my sons freeview
box sending a high voltage current down the coaxial aireil cable round my
living room, now its my printer sending a stray voltage through the usb cable
1000v/m 50mg mag !!! What the f...k are these manufacturers doing to us, so
many peolple must have this situation in thier houses and not be much the wiser.

So, some connections are wrong, and the grounding is not correct.

I spoke to an electrician about the freeview digital receiver box he said
that the manufacturers were not surprised at a certain amount of stray current
from these unearthed devices.

So, lesson 1
You should ground this equipment yourself.
Attach a grounding wire to the metal housing, but see, that the other end is
at really good ground.
Best is a watertube.
Not the ground of the electricity, because there may be some other defaults
present.

Old lesson:
All computer equipment must be grounded to the same ground.
If those computer and equipment are not grounded, it is possible that
Windows crashes.
(I have many, many years experience with that)

With my hause surveys, I always measure the impedance of the grounding.
This should be 0 Ohm.
But mostly, it amounts afew Ohms.
Sometimes, one can observe stark variations, with high spikes.
