Is ground voltage and ground current, either one, the same as or another definition of dirty electricity? And is it in anyway related to EMF and/or RF? I'd be happy to read about the subjects if anyone has suggestions.
What's the level of Wi-Fi emissions or signals that's considered safe for humans by non-governmental agencies? One more ? and that'll be it for me for today ![]() Well, maybe I have one more question! The burning and shocking isn't happening all the time but mainly during certain times during the day and late evening. Just this past weekend I happened to notice there was little to none of the burning/shocking sensation. Could the cause be the amount of electricity entering my home?
Peacefulness,
Kay Today is a good day for a good day! |
Dirty Electricity refers to high frequency signals on the
wiring of a building. It has nothing to do with ground current or
voltage.
The safe level for wi-fi depends on who you ask. We recommend
600 mV/m as a limit.
Remember that the entire mouse radiates, not just the cord.
And if you have an optical mouse (it emits a red light from underneath), then it
will emit strong fields from the mouse. Use an old fashion ball mouse for lower
emissions, see http://www.lessemf.com/computer.html#310

Is ground voltage and ground current, either one, the same as or another definition of dirty electricity? And is it in anyway related to EMF and/or RF? I'd be happy to read about the subjects if anyone has suggestions. Ground current and dirty electricity are both forms of electro magnetic fields but two different things. Ground current is generally produced from the electric utility's extensive use of the earth as ground. Instead of beefing up their neutral wires for today's increased loads and voltage, they are using ground rods as a path for electric current on the neutral side of the distribution system and also connected everything in and on the earth to the distribution system neutral. Here's a good article on ground currents pg 3- http://www.dirtyelectricity.ca/images/Ground%20Currents.doc Dirty electricity is high voltage transients of the 60 Hz (or 50 Hz for Europe) sine wave on electrical wiring. Any interruption of the 60 Hz smooth sinewave produces transients. Many people share a utility transformer with neighboring homes and the appliances they use produces transients which are passed on the 60 Hz signal and carried into neighboring homes. Transients vary in frequency and are multiples of 60 Hz - 120, 180, 240...Smart meters with their switched mode power supply are big producers of DE, as are fluorescent and CFL energy efficient bulbs, computers, TVs, dimmer switches - one I measured when turned on was transmitting microwaves detectable with an HF35C, variable speed fans and HVAC, chargers - those little black wall warts you plug in for laptops, phones, any digital electronic device when plugged in, etc http://www.emfrelief.com/ What's the level of Wi-Fi emissions or signals that's considered safe for humans by non-governmental agencies? My personal experience tells me that no level of Wifi is safe! The Institute for Bau Biology and Ecology guidelines for Radiofrequency radiation in sleeping areas are: 1) No Concern (<0.1 uW/m²), 2) Slight Concern (0.1-10 uW/m²), 3) Severe Concern (10 – 1000 uW/m²), and 4) Extreme Concern (> 1000 uW/m²) . One more ? and that'll be it for me for today ![]() Well, maybe I have one more question! The burning and shocking isn't happening all the time but mainly during certain times during the day and late evening. Just this past weekend I happened to notice there was little to none of the burning/shocking sensation. Could the cause be the amount of electricity entering my home? Perhaps on the days that you feel it you have reached your saturation point for tolerating EMFs or there are other EMFs present in your environment affecting you at that time ?

Kay

Yes, the old ball mouses seem to be universally better than the (wired) optical mice. I've got a box full of various types of mice, including optical mice that don't have any (strong) red light, but all of the optical mice are worse than my old (corded) Microsoft ball mouse.
