Got my clarity mains. today.... am i supposed to notice something??

betty A
Ok , It arrived in the post today , have plugged it in , have no idea
what happens next... will keep you informed.

Any one else using these coherent technologies devices ?, got any
advice on how to use it or what I might feel/experience ie is it
better to have it plugged in in your room , down stairs , upstairs? ,
are there any detox reactions etc?

By the way Apple cider vinegar is going really well , fatigue seems to
be easing a little.

If you react like I did (which there is no guarantee that you will),
you should notice over the next day or so that you don't feel so
fatigued / beaten down by your environment. You'll feel more
energetic and healthier. Then, at some point later, you'll
start detoxing, which means you'll need to drink more water,
etc., and probably need to lie down and rest. If the detox
is too much, then turn the device off until that passes.

> got any advice on how to use it

If you know that there is part of the house where the EMF is
particularly bad, then plug it in there. Otherwise, plug it
in near the fuse box or near something that you know uses
a lot of power. I usually have mine plugged in next to
the computer, since that's where I suffer the most from
EMF. Or the TV when watching TV, or the space heater
in the bedroom while sleeping, etc.

Heh, heh... well, keep in mind I'm giving advice on a device
that I've never even used! :-) Although if it's the same
technology as that in the Quantum Products, then I have years
of experience with these. I just don't know how strong the
"Clarity Mains" is, as it doesn't look like this product
has a direct counterpart in the Quantum Products line.

And since the Clarity Mains is intended for audio/video
application, of course it's not going to have any
instructions concerning health benefits...

Vinny's devices have the advantage that they don't plug into anything,
making them work worldwide. They have the disadvantage that there is
no money back guarantee. Although I suspect you could sell it for
something on eBay (especially if you advertise it here).

Vinny has disclaimers on his website saying that his devices are not
intended as a solution for electrical sensitivity, as he considers
electrical sensitivity a toxicity / nutritional problem. I don't
disagree with that assessment, but the right device can certainly
make life more pleasant while you work on any toxicity / nutritional
problems.

Hi steph. Well what can I say , had it on for about 4 hours and then woke up utterly fatigued the next day. Very strong I think. Havent had the courage to use it again, as it took me two days to recover. I spoke to the guy atthe shop , and he said that they usually take a couple of weeks to "burn in" what ever that means . he suggested I give it a couple of weeks, ie leaving it on when im not home. Interestingly though it did transform the feel of my room , I actually was able to sit and paint and write  straight away, things i havent been ablt to do here before. Good thing is he said that if  it doesnt suit me they will give me my money back.  I would be really interested in the stetzer filter link for the uk though , that might be my next port of call.
What is really working for me though is the apple cider vinegar, absolutelybrilliant . more energy , more strength , reduced symptoms, and increased sense of well being , and thats only after one week.

My initial experience with the Quantum power conditioner (a similar item
in the USA) was that I felt very energetic on the first day, then very
fatigued on the next. But the fatigue goes away once you've
gone through the initial detox phase. And you can make the detox
more tolerable by limiting the amount of time you use it at first,
or using it in an outlet that is as far away from you as possible
(or not much power is used on the circuit). I would hope that within
a few weeks you should be over any fatigue / detox.

I have found that I am quite sensitive to the items sold by Quantum
Products. While sleeping with a space heater on, I find that I
feel horrible in the morning without the $30 Quantum Power conditioner,
but I am hyperactive and cannot sleep if it is plugged in all night.
So as a compromise, I connected it to an adjustable recycle timer,
so that it turns on for some amount of time (currently ~20 minutes),
then off for some amount of time (currently ~10 minutes), and this
repeats throughout the night. I came to this timing via trial and
error, and now actually feel quite refreshed in the morning. But the
timer cost twice as much as the power conditioner!!!

Is the store you purchased this from actually giving you advice
on how to use the Clarity Mains for health purposes? I assumed
that they would only know about its use for audio / video
purposes. The concept of "burn-in" is a term used in the
audio / video industry, meaning that it doesn't reach
perfect sound / video quality until it has been used for an
initial period of time.

Also, I checked with Quantum Products to ask how powerful the
Clarity Mains is with respect to the Quantum Products. They
said that it is somewhere between the Quantum power conditioner
(which is weaker) and the Quantum Home (which is stronger).
They suggested that they might release a US version of
this product at some point, but getting UL certification
takes time and money.

Hi Ada

I haven't been as proactive as you for sure. I have been really unwell for the last while so have been doing very little other than keep up with the great info on this site.I'm going to ordr one of those card type things you can put in your pocket to see if it does anything.

The UK GS filter link you want is www.grahamstetzer.co.uk
but if that doesn't work just google graham stetzer filters + uk distributor - that's what I did and it took me there. I am definitely going to give them a go, only when I looked last week they were unavailable to order bu that situation could have changed.

Where did you get your mains conditioner from  - online or did you buyit somewhere near where you live?

I'm glad the apple cider vinegar is working for you - My mum takes it everyday and is always on at me to try it - she swears by it but I tried it once and thought it was vile. I have acid refulx and don;t know what it would do to me so I'm holding back on that one for the time being since I could'tbear to be any worse.

Keep trying with the mains conditioner [good you've got the money back guarantee!] and I hope that you get some improvement with it.

Note that the treatment of acid reflux can be a bit counter-intuitive.
Usually this is not caused by excessive acid in the stomach, but rather
inadequate acid in the stomach to digest your food, so the food does
not digest properly and then the reflux is caused by the improperly
digested food. Therefore, something like apple cider vinegar
(or alternately Betaine HCL) actually can improve acid reflux,
even those these things are both acidic.

And if you don't like the taste of apple cider vinegar, mix it
with some honey.

Hi Marc

I reckon you are absolutely right about this - I have been reading similar stuff to this on the net on a couple of places. My doc had prescribed 2 sets of antacids without doing any sort of testing to see whether I had too much or too little acid and I tried both of them and have decided to come offthem of my own volition because everything I read about them was negative. So I will give the ACV a go [with the honey] and also some Aloe Vera and see what happens!

Something has just occurred to me Marc but did I read a post here from someone on ACV who said that it can deplete a body of iodine and leave them iodine deficient/hypothyroid? That would be something I would want to avoid since I already suspect thyroid problems, so do you know of anything else which would do the same job as ACV re Acid refulx without the complications of iodine deficiency??

Note that the treatment of acid reflux can be a bit counter-intuitive.
Usually this is not caused by excessive acid in the stomach, but rather
inadequate acid in the stomach to digest your food, so the food does
not digest properly and then the reflux is caused by the improperly
digested food. Therefore, something like apple cider vinegar
(or alternately Betaine HCL) actually can improve acid reflux,
even those these things are both acidic.

And if you don't like the taste of apple cider vinegar, mix it
with some honey.

That was me who said that. I based that on something I had read
elsewhere on the net and my own personal experiences.

To avoid the acid reflux, what you're trying to do is improve
the digestion of food in your stomach. Apple
Cider Vinegar would help with this because it is so acidic.
However, you can achieve the same effect with a Betaine HCL
supplement (hydrochloric acid), or possibly with a digestive
enzyme product. I use a product which contains both
Betaine HCL and digestive enzymes. But I was doing this
to avoid gas/bloating... acid reflux is not something
I've had a problem with.

Thanks Marc - I'll search some more on the net, and I had been thinking myself of digestiv enzymes but I'm interested in the formulation  you aretaking with the Brtaine HCL and enzymes combined. Can I ask is that a fairly standard product you can get in a health fod store or is it a specific product?

Apologies [to all on the forum] for asking what must seem like this barage of questions on this subhject, but if I coudl get help with this it would go a long way to alleviating the worst 50% of my symtoms

Many thanks

I've been going to alternative health doctors for so many
years that I now tend to only purchase "professional"
supplements which cannot be found in health food stores,
(although there are a few places you get them online).

In this case, I'm using a supplement from Standard
Process called "Zypan":

http://www.standardprocess.com/display/StandardProcessCatalog.spi?ID=164

It's a good product, but you may also find something
that works well for you in your local health food
store.

Did a little reaearch re ACV and hypoclorhydria [condit where you have too little stomach acid as opposed to too much] and came across a report on this by Dr Sarah Myhill [ME/CFS Dr with an online site in UK] - she does credit AVC as one of the natural ways to combat this problem but says in an aside that the AVC can cause yeast - I'd be inclined to take her word, althoughthat doesn't seem to square up with the prospect that it can help with candida so I might email her on this - just thought I'd pass this on
