Hi all,
Here is a message from a new member, which I think was meant to be sent to the list, not the list moderator (make sure to address your emails to "eSens@yahoogroups.com" to send to the list members): ----- Subject: Re: Welcome to eSens I don't think I am that sensitive to EMF, but I might be somewhat. What I wanted to learn is how a person can get rid of harmful effects of the EMF and restore his or her balance. I realize that if person spends 5 years on the cell phone for 30 minutes each day, there might be some biological and physiological changes in the body. I was really interested in what a person could do to clean his or her body from the harm the EMF has left. I read some info on walking bear feet, but was not sure whether it is just treating symptoms or the underlying cause. I hope you understand what I am trying to learn. Thank you very much. ----- |

>>What I wanted to learn is how a person can get rid of
>harmful effects of the EMF and restore his or her >balance. One thing to try is eat sea vegetables (Wakame, Kombu, Hijiki, etc.). After the atomic bombs were dropped in Japan, the people who survived the radiation were the ones who were eating Miso soup with seaweed in it. After the Chernobyl incident, a concentrated seaweed product (now sold as "Modifilan") was given to the people to eliminate the radiation from their bodies. I have made it a point to consume each day SOMETHING that has sea vegetables in it for the past few years. You can find them in some supplements, or simply add some sea vegetables to the foods you are cooking. You can find them in the grocery store, in the Asian food section, sold dehydrated in bags. Placing them in water rehydrates them back to the way they were in the ocean. I've also noticed that eating these sorts of foods temporarily helps reduce the symptoms of EMF exposure from computers, etc. Marc |

> Thank you. I did read about sea vegetables. I am

In my case, I was struggling with moderate ES symptoms, but it was after a 2 week trip to Dnepropretosvk Ukraine that caused my symptoms to become so bad that I had to go on medical disability from work. I have often wondered whether my ES problems were simply a case of chronic radiation poisoning from overexposure to EMF sources combined with a deficiency of iodine in my diet. > Don't EMF leave a > different damage then radiation? If yes, would there > have to be different things (not the ones to remove > radiation) to "fix" it? Certainly I've seen websites which claim that EMF damages the DNA in a certain way, but I don't know if this is any different from "standard" radiation sources. Also, many methods of detoxification seem to work for a variety of things -- that is, they could help with chemicals, heavy metals, radiation, etc. I think sea vegetables is one of the "general-purpose" methods. Probably also using a steam room/sauna is also a general method. Also, eating foods or taking supplements which are high in a variety of antioxidants or vitamins should also help remove toxins. Or removing toxic metal dental work will help lessen your body's toxic load, so the body can start detoxifying other areas. Also for me, some other things have provoked good detoxification -- a supplement called "Cellfood", which was supposedly developed in the 1950's by one of the people who developed the hydrogen bomb, which he used to detoxify himself from radiation after being exposed to too many bomb tests. I've taken this for 3 years, and it's always been helful for me. Also, some EMF protection devices have provoked detoxification symptoms. I'm currently using "Springlife Polarizers" in my pockets and in my environment, and these provoke large detoxification symptoms when used in excess. Marc |

No, we stayed in a hotel downtown Dnepropetrovsk (the Grand Hotel Ukraine), and also spent time at the rocket/space company SDO Yuzhnoye. Unfortunately, I became terribly ill on that trip, which I only later realized was due to my EMF exposure -- much of which was the laptop computer I brought with me, which I became very sensitized to. There *is* a lot to absorb on this subject, and a lot of it is disputed -- I've been studying this since 2001, although these days I feel like I've found all the answers I need for myself. However, there are a lot of others still in need of answers for themselves, which is why we've got this discussion group. Detoxification is a big subject, but I think one can detoxify themselves in numerous ways. So really you need to find a way which is a workable solution for your own specific situation. Marc |

I would say that staying fit -- proper diet and lifestyle and sleep -- would enable the
body to do a better job of combatting ALL forms of stress, EMF and otherwise. If EMF exposure is causing depletion of certain minerals, or causing excessive oxidation of body tissues, then appropriate supplements are called for. |

Yes. The thing is, electromagnetic radiation (from powerlines and
devices) and radiofrequency radiation (from antennas, mobile phones, computers, TV etc) interfere with the working of the body's own natural energy field (measurable) or 'vital body', so the idea is to strengthen our own vitality; this then pushes the unnatural energies out and heals the body. >The issue I am trying to understand: Is EMF also a

However, with all the various frequencies that we are surrounded with (e.g. Microwave oven, TV sets, computer), and the different components (electric field, magnetic field), it can probably cause a variety of damage. >Also if appropriate, please share how your trip to >Dnepropetrovsk affected you and what specifically it >caused. I was already ES at that point, but I didn't realize what was the cause of my problems. So when I went on this trip, I used a laptop computer all day, and of course I had exposure to EMF at the airports and on the airplanes, which all made me very miserable. But at the time, I could not understand what was causing my problems. It was 2 months later when I finally figured it out. And it took another 6 months to learn that this was a syndrome that had a name associated with it. At that point, I was told that there was nothing that could be done to improve my situation, but I did my own research and my own experimentation, and proved that opinion wrong. >Would exercises and running repair some damage? I think exercise and running could help, because it increases your blood circulation and the flow in your lymphatic system, and also increases your intake of oxygen. Marc |

Hi Marc and all,
if you have problems regarding mercury and amalgam, you should avoid running and other exercise that make you very exhausted. I guess the reason is that when you exercise you burn fat that contains mercury. When the mercury is free again, your body have to deal with it again, and you get worse! greetings Anders Eriksson Marc Martin wrote: >>The issue I am trying to understand: Is EMF also a >>radiation? > > > EMF is also called "EMR", which stands for > Electromagnetic Radiation. >running and other exercise that make you very exhausted. "Avoid" may be the wrong word -- instead, you should do it to your level of tolerance, and eventually work your way up. When I was very weak and chronically fatigued, I started a routine of walking outdoors at a local park. In the beginning, I could only walk about 100 yards before I was too tired to continue. But I kept returning every few days, until I could walk the full 3 miles of the trail without problems. I also had the same type of problem with being in the sunshine -- it gave me sharp pains in my head. But by being in the sun a little each day, I eventually got rid of that problem, and now have the same tolerance for the sun as most people do. I think people make a mistake when they "avoid" doing things which are good for them. Instead of avoiding, they should simply do as much as they can without adverse symptoms, and then make it a goal to be able to do more in the future. Marc |

I have today been speaking to Arthur Firstenberg in the US (by phone).
He is one of the first people in the world to draw attention to the issue of electrosensitivity, and has written a book about the health effects and the research into this area. He also for a while put out a newsletter called 'No Place To Hide'. He has always been concerned about the existence of increasing numbers of satellites and their ability to affect our health. He told me that in the past few weeks Iridium have added extra services to their satellites, and that he has noticed the difference. He said he has spoken to others who have also noticed it - and asked me whether I had noticed anything - and I realised that I have, in fact felt that there was extra radiation in the past few weeks and I wondered where it was coming from...perhapos the flat next door. Anyone else noticed anything different? Click on the link to 'Breaking News'. Normally, a satellite dish is only a receptor, not a transmittor.
So it does not produce EMF or RF. On the other hand it can function as a secundair antenna, and the received RF radiation from phone masts may be reflected, as it does with all great metallic surfaces. And in less quatities from stone and glass. Greetings, Charles Claessens member Verband Baubiologie http://members.rott.chello.nl/cclaessens/ http://www.hese-project.org checked by Norton Antivirus |

Many of our customer have reported emissions from TV satellite dishes.
While it is true that they are designed to be receivers, not transmitters, the circuitry associated with them emits a variety of signals simply as a by product of their normal function. I noticed that Iridium utilise 66 low-earth orbiting (LEO) satellites operated
by The Boeing Company. I was wondering if there are any Boeing employees on the list who have further information on this that they feel could be useful and they are able to share without getting into trouble? :) I am particularly interested to know the frequencies of EMR that these LEO satellites transmit. -----Original Message----- From: Benson, Sarah (Sen L.
