Hello There
I have spent the summer sleeping in the camper because I cant stand being in the house. Fairly soon I will have to go back in. I have covered 3 walls of the bedroom with aluminum foil and grounded it outside the way Kikkie did. I did hear a low rumbling noise like a diesel engine in the bedroom, that is now gone, but there is now a high frequency noise. That noise actually feels good but the energy is pushy and keeps me awake, more or less permanently awake. I have also made a plug so I can unplug almost all of the electricity in the walls around the bedroom. Any idea of what this higher frequency is? There seems to be no way to escape it. I don't have any test equip. except an AM radio. I live in the country and there are very few people around, but are in a microwave corridor to feed people to the north. Could someone please give me a few ideas, Thanks xyz |
The obvious thing to try is foil on the ceiling.
First make sure there is good conductivity across all the seams in your foil. Don't use a wire for grounding, use a strap of metal width to length ratio of 1/8. Make sure all connections are secure and moisture proof. For outdoors, conductive caulk is the easiest way, though it costs over $70 per tube (from Silicone solutions). perhaps its your own bodies frequency bouncing off the walls ? who knows ?

Hi Bill
It does have foil on the ceiling built into the insulation, it was grounded to the ceiling light but I moved it away in-case it was getting some noise from the electrical system? My camper has metal on all 6 sides. I also go to the cottage and after I am there a few days the high frequency goes away. How would i get a piece of tin 16 inches wide out of the house to get a ground? I have it grounded outside but with 2 wires. Yes I have used a battery, flashlight bulb and wire and there is good conductivety across the seams. I feel sorry for you I too suffer I have to sleep elsewhere apart from my
marital bed upstairs as there is to much wifi and dect cutting through the second floor - the whole issue of sleep and ES is a complex one, I get the best sleep when I go to Norway and sleep in a basement, but even in the remote mountains I have trouble but the clue is in the fact that it gets a mobile signal and probably TV/FM and sattelite - Each night as it comes I guess. puk In a message dated 04/09/2011 04:34:37 GMT Daylight Time, [hidden email] writes: Hello Paul It does stop when I step outside. Hello xyz,
I don't know about the noise ... but I have experiences about the problem of your own body's charge that should be des-charged before you'll get benefit. I remember own experience at home to arrange a Faraday's cage, done by me with a metallic net around the my wife and mine bed: it was OK only for the first night, the second she returned with bad feelings till to leave the bed. Another case about a friend: she wanted to cover all the walls with special reflective Copper texture . Who installed advised her to approach to this room very slowly: to increase the time, day by day, to prepare the body to be descharged before to enter there , She took days. Regarding Faraday cages, they are the most weird issue for me! I am very happy to hear the stories like yours as that proves me I am not crazy with similar observations! Faraday cages are often worse than staying unprotected. Just to make it more weird, to mention that for my stays in wilderness I have a special all plastic trailer (camper) as I wanted to be sure to have no metal plates arround, so to avoid possible effects that we observe inside Faraday cages. There in wilderness there is no low freq hum, but the high one still can be observed, despite very low readings at the meters. So in wilderness there are places which keep me awake, like you have described, but I do rest there (!?), and most rare places are those that calm me down and enable full rest and deep sleep. I don't know where all that comes from, and what is the explanation, but have some rather bold hypothesis. I must say I am sorry for I missed to start a work group particularly dedicated to such issues, as I had announced, but I am still having it on my schedule and hope to make it soon. I believe that any progress in ES understanding would be strongly correlated with these questions. EMF readings are just a part of the issue, that can be called "environmental sensitivity"... Andrew has made a good description in his recent message. I have also observed very weird and alarming experiences with shieldings, especially when they are doubled. Anything longer than 8 times its width will have high inductance
at high frequency. You may be able to connect a short strap through the wall, and connect that to a longer wider grounding piece. But a lot of people have run into such problems. Hello Drasco
I find it very interesting that you also have a high frequency. When I first tried my all metal camper the low frequency stopped right away but then the high frequency I heard got higher and kept me awake. I decided to ride it out and slept in the camper, after 3 to 5 days the high frequency went away :-) It was difficult to ride out the 3 to 5 day period, I was awake the whole period. I have now done that several years and have the same effect, I move into the camper, low frequency goes away and then 3 to 5 days latter the high frequency goes away. The camper is parked just 100 feet from my bedroom. I thought that the same thing would happen when I moved into my bedroom. The low stopped and the high started but after 3to 5 days the high was still there. That was last winter and the high frequency stayed on all winter, and I was more or less awake all winter and lived like a zombe. Just this morning in the camper almost all the frequencies stopped at 9 AM. There is farm machinery going up and down the field beside the house, I wonder if the machinery is discharging the electrical field around the house. (is that a good idea or dumb idea :-) xyz :-) --- In [hidden email], "Drasko" <cvijovic@...> wrote: > > > > > Regarding Faraday cages, they are the most weird issue for me! Hi, Charles! Thank you for your input! I was unable to understand all that Mr. Gebbensleben suggests, especially regarding protection... Could you describe the instructions for protection shortly for us, please? His views are extremely interesting, I myself think that EMF influence can be compared to acoustic influence, when one reads acoustic medicine the symptoms of prolonged exposition to noise are very similar to "ours"... But theoretically he offers not much. He is a dowser, what I don't disregard, but some rational support on statements is required... Again, I am concerned with practice, so taking into account anything, just can't overlook methodological faults... Charles,
Thanks, but I can't read German. I had a bad experience with a faraday cage too. I tried to use the heavy duty one w/o having the smart meters removed & electrical issues not fixed yet. It is a bad idea. I felt weird tingling that felt like charges going from head to toe all night. They'd start on the head & work down the my feet & start at the head again. Caused me to wake up 5 times. I didn't use it again. Our cat got in it for a short time & didn't get back in either. She also refused to go in the room w the smart meter outside the window.
