Hello ES Group Members,
I've discovered over the past 2 years that my body is very sensitive to WiFi connections. It causes burning sensation in my stomach and also causes dullness in the head and face. Staying in the vicinity for a more than 15 mins causes extreme discomfort. Sitting near high freq CPUs also causes the same problem. I use a long keyboard and display cables (20 feet approx) to connect to my system. I had to move homes as I was just unable to stay/sleep in the old place any more due to the multiple wireless connections around. But these days wireless connections are everywhere and I discovered that my present neighbour has WiFi which troubles my body quiet a bit. I have tried various personal shields from EMF stores without much success. My doctor has not heard of EHS and recommended that I see a neurologist. I'm not sure if this will help. To top it all I work in a tech company where WiFi and laptops with wireless abound :( Do you have any suggestions. Is there a specific doc. I can see or some alternate medicine I can try. Thank You. |

I also tried home made layered aluminum wrapping foil worn on the shirt - this seemed to work a bit for short duration exposures. Thanks, Prad |

When I travel I can no longer can stay in hotels that have WiFi. Your
doctor will be of no help so don't try to get any from him/her. I was recommended to a Neurologist and I went partly for laughs. He was of no help and recommended a behavioral counselor. I finally told him about magnetic fields, microwave radiation, etc and he thought again about his parents who live next to a power station. He started telling me all of their health issues that were exactly what I had just reported to him. Rethink your job and if you really can get another one or not that has a safer environment. Or, develop and ingenious plan to work with your management to not have wireless at all but high speed cable. You can have much more info travel faster on cable anyway. I have been working with my management for 2 years and have finally gotten a policy that no cell phones are allowed to be "on" while on stage (I play in an orchestra). We still have temperature and time pieces that communicate via low power wireless though. Good luck with yours. Don't cell phones bother you as much? They bother me big time. There are fabrics, hats, etc. that you can wear as well as shielding for your home that you can buy. LessEMF.com I have experimented with them and find the hat very useful and the window shielding OK. emfservices.com I have painted the walls with copper paint, covered the windows with silver mesh fabric but haven't done the ceiling or floor and the TV tower 2 miles away is still flooding the bedroom. It is better than before but not enough. I am wondering whether to spend another $1,000 or move AGAIN. But where? So, I think I know how you feel. I challenge you to talk to your management and speak your truth. Most everyone is ignorant on this issue and caught up into the hype. Consciousness must be raised. my best to you, Andrew On Jun 6, 2005, at 5:26 PM, jgd0 wrote: > Hello ES Group Members, > > I've discovered over the past 2 years that my body is very sensitive > to WiFi connections. Yeah, I never had any luck with shielding material either. The most luck I've had is with a few select "EMF protection devices". For example, with WiFi in hotels, I've gotten good improvement by plugging in a Quantum MiniMax or Power Conditioner... (found on this site http://www.natural-stress-reduction.com/stress-relief-products.html) ...combined with a Springlife Lifeforce pendant in my pants pocket: http://products.bioharmonics.com/polarizers/lifeforce.htm But, everyone is different, and what works for me may not work for you. There are actually an amazing number of these sorts of devices for sale these days (dozens? hundreds?). I've tried a LOT of them, but have stopped using many because they either didn't work, or they had strong adverse side effects, or they were impractical, or they didn't work well enough (e.g., helps for an hour a day, but not 10 hours a day). You might also want to try an Earthcalm resonator (for me, this works for several hours, but then becomes difficult to tolerate): http://earthcalm.com/ Or perhaps a Cell Phone Rejuvenizer: http://www.lighthealing.com/purchase-rejuvenizer.aspx (for me, this also becomes difficult to tolerate rather quickly, but it also eliminates adverse effects that the Springlife Polarizers don't do such a good job at) There are other folks on this list who've had luck with other, similar types of products, so it's certainly worth a try. Andrew,
Thanks for your inputs. Yes - I have talked to my management. I've also informed our environmental safety dept. Have also cut back the scope of my role at work. I work in a big company and they WiFi in conference rooms and hallways. Cell phones being used by others don't bother me much. But I do not hold up a cellphone against my ear for too long. This causes discomfort. I use the speakerphone or one of those headphone extensions.(air - not wire leading into the ear). It is pretty amazing. I did read on the Swedish ES association site that this gets progressively worse if exposure is not avoided. It is true - I used to be ok with PDAs, small devices like music players. But over the last year I've noticed that the body gets affected quiet a bit by these devices also. Excercise and fresh air helps reliveve the discomfort. So does breathing (yoga based - I do Sudarshan Kriya regularly) Thanks, Prad --- In [hidden email], Andrew McAfee <amcafeerr@n...> wrote: > When I travel I can no longer can stay in hotels that have WiFi. For me, getting my metal dental work removed, improving my diet, taking supplements, and using EMF protection devices allow me to not be bothered by all sorts of things which use to bother me a lot. Could you tell me what supplements helped you ? Thanks, Prad |

> Could you tell me what supplements helped you ? Over the past 5 years, I've probably tried over 200 different supplements (!), but here's a a short list of really notable ones (that is, ones which obviously have improved EMF tolerance/energy levels/immunity): Seasilver or Sea Energy (general nutrition) e-Poise (multivitamin for left/right brain balancing from Standard Process) Active-H (antioxidant, aka as "Megahydrin") Cellfood (ionic minerals, enzymes, amino acids, oxygen) Evening Primrose Oil (essential fatty acids) Primal Defense (probiotic) Echinacia Premium (from Medi-Herb, good for immune boosting) Also, lately I've been experimenting with Siberian Ginseng (aka Eleuthero) and Oregacyn (concentrated oil of oregano) with good results, although I've not used either of these nearly as much as the ones in the above list (some of which I've been taking off and on for 5 years!)
