I'm pretty new to this site and have two questions
1. Has anybody received EMF accommodation at a US college? I'm going to a California Community College and they are clueless. 2. What to do about those damm SMART Meters! I have two behind my wall. I can't sleep, can't concentrate etc. It's SCE (Southern California Edison) territory and there is no opt out policy! HELP school starts Tuesday and they only reason I'm still functioning is long naps. |
I'm so sorry. This hole thing is awful. You can tell your doctor about it. Ask them to write a letter. And see if the school will agree to call the utility co. & have those meters removed. Send the power co. your letter certified with a return receipt. regardless of what the school will do. May I ask if you're college age? When they see these are effecting young people that are our future maybe they will get the message how toxic these are. You can move but these things are everywhere. I have sce here too, but trying to move is the hard part because I cannot find a house with an analog on it now. I know that Mount Shasta is not getting any because they voted them out. This is Northern California though. Best of luck to you. We cannot afford to move so I am making the best of it. Hard to believe it has been nine weeks now since they were put in.

Hi,
As far as accomdation for EMF's at college, I have not heard of any, anywhere. Maybe someone else has. I think it would be a matter of the squeecky wheel gets the grease. EMF's as a source of adverse health reactions has not hit the "radar" (pun) of the mainstream yet. So people who are reacting to EMF's are the ones who have to make themselves heard and insist on accomodation or take measures to protect themselves, if nobody else will listen. You may have to consider shielding garments if you are going to be in school by Tuesday. As I said, my visit to Southern California was a nightmare. You can pretty much expect at least 200 Cell Towers within a 3 miles radius of any given point in LA and surrounds. I was shocked at such high density of EMF, Microwave, Radio and Radar Radiation as LA and SF. But I am sure the East Coast is just as bad. We are now in the BOOM times of the wireless revolution. It is like the Wild West with lax regulation, obscene proliferation with total disregard for human health, brought about by an uninformed and brainwashed public who are not aware of the risks posed by electricity and wireless. People reacting to EMF are increasing at an alarming rate, as exposure to wireless technology is causing many to become Electrosensitive who would not have become so otherwise. But the situation in 2012 is that the vast majority of people are buying and using wireless devices and having no symptoms from them YET. So the few people that are having problems are considered weirdos and are not taken seriously. People have been fighting EMF's from overhead power lines, and radio towers for decades and very little headway has been made in getting the Power Company's to make any kind of changes or accomodation for public health. As far as Smart Meters, the squeeky wheel may get the grease. A letter from your doctor, constant telephone calls and letters, getting an attorney, You did not say if you are in a house or apartment. That makes a difference. There are many people on the list who can direct you to the proper procedure to take for getting the meters removed from a house in S. California. If in an apartment, you will either have to move or put up sheilding. More information is needed on this in order to give proper advice. Good luck. C. Hello,
Where do you take your long naps? Sounds good, but the EMF here is pretty bad during the day and of course the kids are on te WIFI and cell phone at night. Plus, the geostress has been pretty bad out here and every night around 1:30 AM. It seems to start coming up some nights and days worse than others. Naps sound really good... --- On Thu, 2/16/12, annerhard <[hidden email]> wrote: From: annerhard <[hidden email]> Subject: [eSens] EMF accommodation at public school/ To: [hidden email] Date: Thursday, February 16, 2012, 8:12 PM I'm pretty new to this site and have two questions 1. Wow...I can't even imagine how much worse it could get. We don't have smart meters out here and I still suffer almost every moment.

It's a situation that can force a person to become someone they're not. I personally hate confrontation and do not have much money for basic stuff, let alone trying to shield-up and garment up and hire attorneys. Thankfully, my friend Dafna who came down EHS after I did, about 3 years ago is an attorney, but that doesn't necessarily make life easier. She just knows the ins and outs better and may have resources both psychological and otherwise that I don't have.
At one of my jobs, a hospital neurology and stroke unit, my co-workers are just now starting to be mindful around me with the incessant laptops and cell phones. It's been 4 years. But it's not all of them and its not always. I'm just a bit encouraged to see that the people who used to be the grossest offenders (like taking the phones out and putting them near me just to see what I would do) now do it rarely. I still have a long long way to go with them. And that's probably because I'm generally non-confrontational. Actually, the little piece of cloth that I got from LessEMF has helped me put distance between myself and the frequencies closest in proximity, but seems to work much better with the cell phone radiation as opposed to the WIFI which is everywhere. I live in a private home and still need a tremendous amount of shielding which sometimes seems to be more effective than others-- without any Smart Meters in the neighbor yet. It is scary out here. And for the most part, I am still the ONLY one people have encountered with this condition. So whereever the new "onsets" are I would like to know. Unless we all can ban together, how can we really expect to challenge a demonic status quo? These regulatory people are in denial even about Fukushima-- a full blown ionizing radiation disaster. There are individuals in Japan who NEVER wanted nuclear power because of what happened during WW2. So much for what the people want. Now, the planet is stuck with a huge huge mess. Stay tuned for the outcomes... I think that it's only when young people begin to FEEL the effects of these behaviors that things may start to look up. I personally do not know one young person being affected and I also work in elementary, middle and a high school as a per diem teacher. I haven't seen one person, except me... And check this out, I was introduced to the "SMART BOARD" this year at the elementary school level, Man, these boards are HOT! And I don't mean sexy. I mean burning hot. They like many televisions, appliances and the like are loaded with WIFI right out the box--looking to fry anyone they can. Guess who that is...me. Holy moroly. Plus, they are very big, bigger than a large screen TV. Global warming could be happening for every reason other than carbon emissions--yet carbon continues to take the rap. H-m-m-m. Yes move if you can. It's not worth ruining your health. If you can find a house to rent w friends, you can get the meter off easier. But you need the doctor's letter. And have to make phone calls asking for a supervisor. .Willing to not take no for an answer. There is no federal mandate stating you have to have a smart meter. It's the utility co's choice. If it's making you sick you have to be willing to not give up getting it off. I got them removed on our house, and others have. Kathy [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |
Fully agree.
The least that can be done while you're there is to stay as far away as possible, esp. when you're sleeping. Every bit of distance counts. You can also get some kind of reflective sheet (aluminum foil, mylar blanket, etc) to stick to the wall to reflect the radiation. KathyB wrote thus at 06:25 18/02/2012: >Yes move if you can. In California contact people at Stop Smart Meters (dot) com.
They have a wealth of info. and experience with opt outs there. Charyl Z [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |
