Dr. Klinghardt, founder of The Institute for Neurobiology in Seattle, Wa and a leading educator for physicians in U.S. and Europe. Also a pioneer in understanding the importance understanding the electromagnetic factors in health.

Approximately, 8% of people in developed countries have electromagnetic sensitivity.

(Dr. Klinghardt draws the line that it is "more like 8% of the population that is aware they are hypersensitive to electromagnetic fields. The other 92% is easily affected, but in a more quiet way and may not know, that the breast cancer is coming from the exposure to nightime electromagnetic fields in the home, that their hormonal problems or low testosterone is caused by the ambient electrical fields at home. The patient with ALS or MS may not be aware that the silently creeping advancement of the illness is greatly contributed through by the electromagnetic fields of the home. So you really have a distinction line just between where the symptoms are obviously caused by electrosmog and where it may be more clandestine, more hidden where the symtoms are caused by electromagnetic fields in a more silent way.")

People affected have become much more larger of a number.

"Some of us believe(I am part of that group of physicians) that electromagnetic radiationa nd deep biological effects in the body are affecting everybody. It is just a matter of degree and of quantity. We do know from research, from Dr. Amora in NY, that there is a synergistic effect between heavy metals deposited in the central nervous system from, for example mercury or lead toxity, and electromagnetic fields.

Metals stored in the central nervous system act like an antennae that concentrate electromagnetic fields in the central nervous system and then the effects of that are more devastating than in people that have a clean central nervous system. So that is pretty firmly established, and however who becomes toxic with heavy metals is a genetic component these other people that have impaired enzymes of detoxification very often caused not necssarily by increased exposure toxic metals, but by defective genes. That number of people is going up tremendously. That is true of most austic children and most children of behavioral problems and so forth. That number is closer now to 20-25% of the population.

Mr. Seymour said that the electromagnetic pollution is a serious one due to the fact that the FCC refuses to recognize there is a problem and out of that, the statute that gives them domination of the field.. this causes public frustration at state and town levels because they feelthere is nothing they can do about it and makes it both a serious scientific and health problem and also a government problem...

Thank you Laurel for supplying this great piece of information. I am
new to this group, but due to my electrosensitivity I have been
following this issue for over 10 years. I suffer from some of the
sensitivities Dr. Klinghardt talks about. I am delighted that Dr.
Klinghardt is tying all these loose ends on the impacts of EMF
together, especially from RF and Microwave sources. The scientific
literature for over 40 years is replete with similar correlations,
except not with such direct connections to the diseases Dr.
Klinghardt lists. With the new Obama administration and new FCC and
other new fedeal agency chairmen it is time we start mobilizing in a
concerted way to influence changes in the regulations, oversight and
research in this critical, growing area of RF and microwave
technology and its impact on health. I will soon post new messages on
some of the actions groups are taking nationally to bring greater
awareness to our legistative bodies on this issue
