Direct TV dishes

My neighbor just erected a Direct TV receiving dish in a spot on his property near a place on my property where I like to spend time.  Now I feel like I might be getting zapped in that area.  Anybody know how much EMF one of these Direct TV dishes generates?  I understand that the dish is just receiving TV signals, it isn't sending them.  But it seems like the dish could take quite a bit of electricity to run-- there seem to be some thick wires running into the device.  Any info would be much appreciated.  

Over the years we have seen people here complaining about their neighbors satellite dishes.  It's not true that's its "just receiving", as the dish contains powered components.  But it's a bit surprising to me that people seem to notice this from a distance.  Although, I'm bothered by Blu-ray players at 10 feet away, even the old ones without any wireless capability.

The coax cable(s) leading to the feed horn are radiating both switching power supply noise and the intermediary/mixing frequencies used in the tuning circuitry.  You can easily confirm this (the switching power supply) via an AM radio.

If the coax is put in metal conduit, an the dish is ground mounted fairly low on a grounded metal post, and the coax and receiver box are well grounded, this can be greatly reduced.  

My cornet meter picked up large RF radiation a few feet from a neighbor's satellite dish mounted on the front lawn next to the porch in the house I was going to rent.  Because of this I did not rent the house.
