Digital Voice Recorders

Katrina

In the near future, I am going to be recording many hours of
medical consultations.

A friend told me she easily did this with a DVR small enough to wear like a pendant. It easily picked up her voice and Dr.'s voice from across the room. Plus, it worked as they walked around.

Is a DVR dangerous for Esensitive?

I'm still way behind, knowing current technologies at all, and impact on ES.

The convenience sounds perfect, but I would only have this if it is a gift or borrowed (they are expensive).

Otherwise, it will be low tech and cheap! (An off topic question, is...any recommendations for a cheap one?)

I have executive function brain impairment, so, in this world, even seemingly simple choices/decisions can really scramble me.

Also does analog mean regular old fashioned kind, or a 3rd type?

Thanks,

Katrina

Dear Katrina,

If the deived will pick up the Dr's voice from across the room, you have
no need to wear this recorder as a pendant (or anywhere else near your
body). If you put it in the middle of the room, it should pick up your
voice as well. And the distance will mean that your exposure to any
emitted fields will be minimal.

I use a "Creative" MP3 player with built in voice recorder, and it
has the best voice recording I have heard from any recorder I have
used. They are down to less than $100. You can use headphones or
plug in an external speaker. I have had no ES troubles with it
unless I wear the ear phones for hours on end. You can just carry it
into a doctors office in our outside shirt pocket with recorder on.
They record from 8 to 64 hrs depending on size of memory (128MB to
1GB).
