Could these things prove that my main problem is mercury?

Wolf Man
I know that mercury toxicity is quite hard to test but what do you think ofthese?

-Chlorella gives me pains all over
-Cilantro worsens my shakiness and anxiety

(as a side note, this is why I'm afraid of NDF, isnt it made of these)

-DMSA (even 3 mg!) causes me depression
-NAC gives me anxiety and insomnia
-Zeolite powder makes me depressed

-And maybe the most important "proof": last summer, when I still had the amalgams in mouth, I tried whey protein. After 2 days all my finger tips started to burn painfully and they became very sensitive to touch, I even had problems with turning pages of a book! This symptom remained UNTIL I had theamalgams removed 3 months later, then it suddenly disappeared...

What do you think? It would just be crucially important to recognize the main problem here, thats why I'm asking...

Thanks

S.T.
Hi Joni,

To me anything that is a precursor for gluthathione gives me trouble. It usually goes right through me and causes pain.  Whey Protein and ALA are both strong. If you read some of Marc's postings he can also take only tiny amounts.

Yes, that's probably a good indicator of some kind of metal toxicity.
Liquid zeolite drops cause all 3 of those symptoms in me.

The only advice I can suggest is to keep lowering the dose until
you find something that is tolerable. I think this is one reason
I used NDF -- with a suggested max dosage of 50 drops per day, it
is pretty easy to measure out 1/50th of the recommended daily dose. :-)

Also, if you start feeling bad, take a break. Like a several day break.

By the way, I noticed on the adult-metal-chelation group that there
is someone who is taking ALA at a dosage of 0.1 mg at a time. I
doubt that small amount would cause anyone much trouble (although
I wonder about how they managed to create dosages that small, since
ALA is typically sold in 25mg - 600mg capsules/tablets).

It sounds like it works like DMSA or DMPS -- it has a higher affinity
for mercury than your body does, so it grabs onto the mercury in your
body and hopefully doesn't let go of it until the combination leaves
your body.

One significant thing about ALA is that it is both water soluble and
fat soluble, so it will get at everything (including the brain and
nervous system). Just be careful about the dosage -- some will insist
that you have to take it every 3 hours day and night for a few days at
a time with breaks in between (this is how I'm experimenting with it
at the moment), while I know some people who just take one capsule
once per day.

Like any other chelater, taking too high of a dose of ALA will make you
feel bad and make your health go downhill due to redistribution of
metals. So if the current dose makes you feel bad, cut the dosage until
the side effects are acceptable. And if you've cut your dose to the
level where you can't imagine being able to take anything less, then
you'll have to abandon that for the moment and try something else.

I find that I get side effects from ALA even after just a few
milligrams, so I'd avoid capsules sizes of 100mg, 200mg, and
600mg. Kirkman seems to be the source of the lowest dose commercially
(25mg per capsule), other than that you'll be left with compounding
pharmacies or splitting up capsules into smaller doses by hand.

Oh, another unique thing about ALA -- even though this can reduce the
amount of mercury in your body, supposedly ALA reduces the ability of
your body to excrete copper, so if one has copper toxicity this might be
the last thing you want to take! Or at the very least, you should add
something which will reduce the amount of copper in your body, like
molybdenum or zinc.
