Computer mouse

Hawk
Hello group
I was editing alot of pictures a while back. Had to stop because of ill effects from the optical mouse :( ... So ive been trying to get a hold of an old mouse without luck.
What do you people use ?
A friend of mine had a lazer mouse. Did not feel any imidiate effects from it. Did not scan it either. When i scanned/measured the optical mouse a was suprised how far the ir signal went and how much radiation was coming from it, 2m !!!

Fog Top

I have problems with hand pain when using a modern mouse and have found much relief by using a low EMF old 'ball' type with a PS2 plug and the USB adapter from LessEMF.

Yes, I also use old PS/2 ball mice, although my computer has a PS/2 input, so I don't need a USB adaptor.  It's kind of amazing that you can still find modern computers with PS/2 inputs!

I buy my computer mice on eBay.  They are all "Microsoft IntelliMouse PS/2 Compatible" mice.

Oh, and I've tried lots of different optical/laser mice, and none of them are as tolerable as these old ball mice.  If someone here has found a tolerable optical/laser mouse, I'd be interested to know the manufacturer/model, and I could see if I could find one and try it out.

I get a mostly blank page with what looks like one Chinese character in
the top left corner.

A more expensive but effective solution could be to use an optical usb cable between the pc and the keyboard + mouse.
One can also shield a mouse :

I had bought one P2 mouse and amazon and it would not work w/ the mac. I tried a kingman trackball-nice item but poorly shielded-in the trash now.  I have an emergency one from "family dollar" that so far is the best, but it's cheap, uncomfortable to hold and the cord is too short. I am using the regular logitech optical-far from perfect, but the best I found so far.  the less emf one does not work with a mac either. Later I may try the 2nd P2 mouse I saw on amazon, if I can spare the $$.

Dark- With that PS2 mouse did you try the PS2 to USB adapter?  They're available on Amazon for $1.99
