Hi, all! (My first posting to this forum)
About 12 years ago, I had all my metal dental fillings removed, and when I was well through that, I started looking for a safe way to detox. Chlorella looked like a safe choice, but because of my unpredictable sensitivities, I played it safe, and started out with only 1/10 tablet. It made me so sick, that i gave up on Chlorella. 10 years later I read somewhere that small doses of Chlorella mobilizes more mercury than it eliminates (through the gut), while a large dose is able to eliminate more than it mobilizes. OK, I took a whole tablet: No reaction. I have now been taking 2 tablets 3x daily for one year. I think it helpes somewhat with my ES. |

Yes, a lot of heavy metal toxic people cannot take chlorella. It is Dr. Klinghardt who says that one should take large doses, although he also says that a "large dose" is around 70 tablets per day, and that one should only take the brand that he sells (that sounds suspicious in itself). Also, about your change in reaction to the chlorella: * after 10 years, your body probably did a lot of detoxification from the fillings you had removed, so you probably were better able to tolerate the chlorella after waiting so long. * did you use the same brand? I found that my tolerance for chlorella varied with the brand (some brands are contaminated with heavy metals to start with!) Marc |
Yes, it was the same brand: Bio-Reurella.
We can never know for sure what difference the time span made, but knowing my reactions, I think that dosage was the crux of the matter. --- In [hidden email], Marc Martin <marc@...> wrote: > > > About 12 years ago, I played it safe, and started out with > > only 1/10 tablet. > > It made me so sick, that i gave up on Chlorella. > > > > 10 years later, I took a whole tablet: No reaction. > > Also, about your change in reaction to the chlorella: > > * after 10 years, your body probably did a lot of > detoxification from the fillings you had removed, > so you probably were better able to tolerate the > chlorella after waiting so long. > > * did you use the same brand? I suffered no ill effects from it, and I am convinced that I have little to no mercury left in my body. So my point is that Chorella doesn't affect everyone the same. My understanding at the time was that Chorella and Cilantro loosened the mercury and the eggs would bind to it and remove it from the body.
