Hi, Laurel,
Yes, I, too, get chills after being affected with emfs. It is an adrenal/autonomic nervous system reaction. (And I have constant ringing in myears.) Pantethine and calcium AEP, as well as a vit D 3 supplement might help you. It does me. Esp the D supplement helps with the chills. It must be a "solar" type D vitamin (more like natural vit D)--they areexpensive to get one that works. Mine is from Carlson Labs. Good luck, dear. Thanks Diane. I do have a Vit. D3 I took last night. Unfortunately, I do not tolerate any minerals. I will write a separate post about that, as Iwanted to know if anyone else has this trouble also.

I also get chills and temperature irregularities around EMF. Vitamin D hasn't helped me that much . I'm taking close to 5000 IU of Vitamin D3 and feel lots better, sleep
a lot better too. I take it in fish oil so also get a lot of Vitamin A with it. How much D did you try? If EMF sensitivity is related to heavy metal toxicity it might help to eat regular animal protein and lots of good fats to make sure you can maintain reasonably high cholestrol levels. "Neurotoxins are transported throughout the body attached to protein components of lipoproteins, and therefore require cholesterol for their transport and elimination". I found the above in this article: http://www.westonaprice.org/envtoxins/mercury.html I do raw dairy and also feel better when I eat some meat (high quality). Avoidance of EMF is good also. I sleep in my kitchen as it is the only room in this apt. that has an extra wall between me and the cell tower a block away. I know some of the above sounds way bizarre, but please don't critise unless you have read the article. Also I just had a cancerous tumour removed so that is one reason I take so much Vitamin D but from my researhs it seems a lot of us are way deficient. Kathy, thanks for the article link. I read it all and found it very
informative. Especially the part about whole milk, fats, cholesterol and how they help facilitate the mercury removal. Hi Amy,
I hadn't seen any information on this forum that mentioned these things, and I just found out myself so thought I would pass it along. I do more or less follow the type of diet advocated by www.westonaprice.org and I definitely feel better. There seems to be quite a bit of controversy these days as to just what is the optimal way to eat. I think our bodies are very intelligent and that food cravings are there for a reason, unfortuanetly sometimes they are misplaced (like craving sugars to feed candidia). I think the craving for fat is legitamate but eating healthy fats is not always easy when there are so many unhealthy ones everywhere. Hi, Laurel,
I do not tolerate most forms of calcium, either, but the calcium AEP works for me. Pantethine is B5 in an easier to assimilate form. The calcium AEP + pantethine helps my ES alot and I travel with these for when Ihave major magnetic reactions, as the reactions involve blood pressureplummeting and taking these 2 supplements with 12 or so ounces of water will stabilize my bp. I sometimes have to take them 2 or 3 times (20 to 30 mins apart) for my bp to return to normal, but I truly could not make it without these two supplements. Notice that the bp is also anautonomic nervous system/adrenal connected problem. I also have breathing problems and heart rate changes (also auto nerv system/adrenal connected) from magnetic frequencies. I know the calcium AEP might not work for you, but I highly recommend it for anyone who can tolerate it. I, too, reacted badly to this product at first. I had to get empty capsules, put miniscule amounts of the cal AEP in them, and build up the amount over time. (And I still had some reactions.) For one thing, cal AEP also kills off candida--which is how I started taking it in the first place--so it can pack a wallop for several different reasons when you first take it. I am not trying to twist your arm on this. If you read this and still feel the cal AEP is not going to be tolerable, don't take it. I am only trying to explain how these work for similar autonomic problems incase you also have those and might tolerate it. I often find people who think they do not tolerate supplements. But on closer questioning, I have noticed alot of people who say theydo not tolerate them often are not using them correctly--either not using the correct form for their particular need or using too much and getting an intolerable reaction (or too little and seeing no help at all). Even changing formulations or brands can make a difference. So there are those who truly do not tolerate various supplements and people who have not found the particular supplement they can tolerate! ;) Does this make sense to you? I do not tolerate ANY iron supplements for instance, where iron is the only ingredient. I can take Buffalo Liver supplements, where iron is high but it is mixed with other components of liver. I also must take these with vit C.... Walking outside in the sun helps the best, re vit D (we just don't have much of that in Pa in the middle of winter). This helps me to recover from ES stress, in general, but can help with all the auto nervous system symptoms too. (Of course you will want to find a place near water or away from all cell/microwave towers, etc, which can be fairly difficult to find these days.) If you can find a dry place to sit (on the ground) where you do not vibrate or feel uncomfortable, sitting there for 20 or 30 mins, you will feel the stress and ES drain out of you, too. Electrolytes also need addressed tho, for me personally (for the adrenal/autonomic symptoms). Hope this is helpful, Diane --- On Mon, 12/22/08, laurel canyon <[hidden email]> wrote: From: laurel canyon <[hidden email]> Subject: Re: [eSens] Chills To: [hidden email] Date: Monday, December 22, 2008, 1:57 PM Thanks Diane. HI Diane,
Thank you for your detailed response. I will look into AEP calcium. I also get heart rate fluctuations and breathing problems at times. Sometimes it just comes on and the source is not always easy to figure out. The other night, when the small electric heater came on while I was sitting at this computer, started my heart pounding hard and fast. I have noticed that I do nottolerate this computer(here at my friend's house) when my friend's small TV is playing upstairs or the small electric heater downstairs here is running. I usually start to burn and sting. But the other night, it affected my heart. Perhaps some other strange symptoms is also about the autonomic nervous system. The symptom is too bizarre to explain. I do not tolerate certain supplements, while others I do tolerate. I have been dealing with reactions to just about anything you can imagine, for years. The intolerance to minerals is a different kind of reaction than a chemical sensitivity type of reaction. The minerals seem to draw in electricity into my body.. just as iron does in other people. I find that if it is a MCS reaction, the amount of substance does not change the reaction. However, this type of reaction to minerals is not a MCS type of reaction. I did try molybdenum last night. I only took a bit out of a capsule. The supplement only had one other ingredient, so it was not as risky to take. I did do ok. I also took one drop of magnesium chloride. I do notice my arms stinging right now being on the computer. I always forget to time myself andend of spending much too long on it. I am in NY State, so I understand about not getting enough sun in the winter. Since becoming EHS, I have noticed that I do not tolerate the sun either(at least this past summer I did not). I did not get on the computer yesterday at all, nor the day before and I noticed I am much warmer. But as I type I notice that I am getting colder thelonger I am sitting here. There is so much EMF in this corner where the computer sits. Diane This is another great post of yours. I am about to start taking some vitamin D3 supplements, since they seem to be beneficial for so many things, not least immune function, and last week I was mulling over and doing my electrosensitive "review of the year" nad the only time I felt any way well and able to function with only limited ES feelings was during May this year whenwe had a 4 week very hot spell, which in fact as it turned out was acutally our summer [summer in the UK didn't happen for most this year due to veryheavy rainfall]. And before that, I last felt well when I went on holiday for a week by the sea and after your post I'm thinking that it must have been the vitamin D on both occasions. I know that sunshine is better than tablets, but hopefully tablets are better than nothing at all, so I'm hoping the Vitamin D3 can do something for me. Best wishes Steph --- On Sun, 28/12/08, Evie <[hidden email]> wrote: From: Evie <[hidden email]> Subject: Re: [eSens] Chills To: [hidden email] Date: Sunday, 28 December, 2008, 4:18 PM Hi, Laurel, I do not tolerate most forms of calcium, either, but the calcium AEP works for me. I am only tryingto explain how these work for similar autonomic problems incase you also have those and might tolerate it. I often find people who think they do not tolerate supplements. But on closer questioning, I have noticed alot of people who say they do not tolerate them often are not using them correctly--either not using the correct form for their particular need or using too much and getting an intolerable reaction (or too little and seeing no help at all). Even changing formulations or brands can make a difference. So there arethose who truly do not tolerate various supplements and people who have not found the particular supplement they can tolerate! ;) Does this make sense to you? I am flattered, Stephanie! ;) You might have to try different brands for one that works, but, yes, the D3 pills do work for me in absence of sun.

Notice that the bp is also an autonomic nervous system/adrenal connected problem. (And I still had some reactions.) Hi again, Steph,
Calcium AEP has amino ethanol phosphate added to it. I am sending a sitewhich explains abit about it and the site where I order it. There are other companies which sell this, but this is the one I use. Byron Richards is the nutritionist I mentioned in another post who worked with me via phone calls. He was much help and I repay him by buying his Cal AEP. ;) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2AEP http://www.wellnessresources.com/products/calcium_aep.php You can google Calcium AEP and find all sorts of problems which people report this nutrient is good for. I personally think it is the best form of calcium for lymphatic, adrenal, auto-immune..... problems. I could not take most other forms of calcium at all. I've not found any noticeable benefit to taking D3, but perhaps I'm not taking enough. Although when I tried taking 3000 IU, I got cloudy urine (???) But I do feel in the summertime, so there certainly may be something good about Vitamin D obtained via the sun (or maybe it's just the heat and humidity) Marc |
