I went to the dealer today and test drove a 2010 Nissan Altima. I have a 2009. The cars are identical. The new 2010 gave me basically the same symptoms as mine : headache, itchy face, full ears etc. I guess the transmission replacement was a coincidence? Now I have to deal with it.

Try to find a 2009 used w/ original transmission.
Then you will know. You could also ask if there is a controller module that can be disconnected from the transmission. Then you could try to find a used one of those. But why did the transmission fail so early? Was it a recall? On Fri, Apr 23, 2010 at 3:20 PM, jim64m <[hidden email]> wrote: > > > I went to the dealer today and test drove a 2010 Nissan Altima. You can also be allergic to the toxins in the car. Something to think about.
