Is there a way you can try before you buy. You will want to make sure there is not some kind of chip like a smart chip in it. I have a Macbook and it's the adapter that is bad. I use wired mouse and keyboard across the room and I put shielding fabric over the bottom part to block those waves. I have been too sick and or otherwise busy for my usual sewing or I would make some kind of RF fabric tube to put the whole adapter in. I recently took a parts machine and put in the 8GB of memory from it to my mac and some other like things, I may swap the speakers if I ever get a day I am up to it. I am avoiding the day of getting a new one as long as I can. I am running into issues w/ my OS and all the later releases are not something I want to live w/. I may eventually get another used one if I can find a good one and turn this into a windows system if what I have now gets too out of date to use.
I have had bad luck w/ getting a Dell machine to not fall apart-bad quality control. I have heard a lot of ES seem to like them.
I could always try to find a good used windows machine, but on my budget it's not doable now. I think it's unlikely mac will bring out any usable OS in the future. I know many are still using windows 7 and what comes with it.
Anyone try chromebook? What are they like and do they have emissions?
