Bee populations decreasing...

stephen_vandevijvere
Scientists are abuzz over a new theory that cell phones are killing off bees.

The study found that radiation from the widely used communication devices is having a negative impact on the honey-making insects.

Researchers at Panjab University in Chandigarh, India, placed cell phones by a beehive and powered it up twice a day for 15 minutes over a period of three months.

During that time, CNN reports, the scientists found that honey production stopped, the queen laid only half as many eggs and the size of the hive shrunk dramatically.

"Increase in the usage of electronic gadgets has led to electropollution of the environment," wrote Ved Prakash Sharma and Neelima Kumar, the authors of the report in the journal Current Science.

"Honeybee behavior and biology has been affected by electrosmog since these insects have magnetite in their bodies which helps them in navigation," the pair wrote.

According to the United States Department of Agriculture, last year the bee population dropped 30%.

One scientist suggests a minor change in the frequency of cell-phone transmissions could help solve the problem.

"If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe then man would only have four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man," said Albert Einstein.

In the United States, about 30% of all food we consume requires pollination by honey bees.   But now honey bee collonies are mysteriously emptying out without a trace.
...
Europe:  The alarm was first sounded last autumn, but has now hit half of all American states. The West Coast is thought to have lost 60 per cent of its commercial bee population, with 70 per cent missing on the East Coast.  CCD has since spread to Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece. And last week John Chapple, one of London's biggest bee-keepers, announced that 23 of his 40 hives have been abruptly abandoned.

Is it a stretch to hypothesize that government mandated spraying of crops with deadly chemicals as well as toxic substances contained in chemtrails could be part of a deliberate program to eliminate the bee population? Or is this just another example of big business flagrantly abusing the eco-system in order to drive up profits?

Hi Stephen,

I have noticed that the tree that is in the back yard of my house never ever grows, yet green leafs indicate that it is indeed still alive. Also all the limbs fell off of a large yacca plant at my old house (near a power tower) recently. The new ones are growing back very, very slowly and often die before getting very big. The previous limbs that broke off one by one and fell to the ground were about 6-8 feet tall. The new ones are lucky to make it to a few inches before they die. I had this tree for over 30 years and this never happened before. Limbs never, ever fell off to the ground on their own. Do you think that these occurrences are related to the EMF/ cell phone/ bee situation? It is so very strange... Also a tree near my old house never grows anymore, like the one in my back yard where I am now. I just can't help but to wonder... Has anyone else seen these sorts of things?

Cheryl

Re: Bee populations decreasing...

Research  has shown that plants are often effected by microwave
radiation, just like humans. It probably influences the flow of the
juices or so and then the plant or tree can't thrive anymore and might
eventually die. Just like humans, not all plants and trees are the same
sensitive though.
The weird thing is that many plants seem to grow BETTER when there's
some extra electricity going around. I was very surprised to read that.
But we have two spots in our yard with fruit trees in pots. One place is
covered with metal anti bird netting and the other place has synthetic
netting. The ones under the metal are definitely doing better. Is that
because of the wiring or because they get more sunshine? Or both? Hard
to say, but definitely interesting.
