Hi,
I was offered a position in Anchorage, but I am kind of scared because I don't even know if I will be able to be in the building, and they are not going to pay for me to go up there. Since I have been having interviews I realized I am still not well. Livingin a clean environment and limiting my exposure has not been enough. In Anchorage I will probably be on a computer for 8hours a day at least. I am not sure that I will be able to do that? So, in order to try and get better I have bought a pendent from ewater, plus I wear a copper bracelet. I have been doing yoga, mediation, hiking and praying. The last few days I went to the doctor and they said that I have a lot of metals and am going to do a detox. I also had electro dermal testing and theacupuncturist said he could reduce my level of sensitivity. Do you think that by having the metal detoxing, and detoxing in general, as well as what the acupuncturist is planning on doing will get me to a degree where I can be functional? Have you tried these techiques. One thing that is interesting when he first tested me my body was stating it was very balanced. I hadforgotten that I had the pendent on. After taking it off, my balance had changed. Anyway, I am trying to figure out if I could physically handle doing this job. I am supposed to start at the end of June. Thanks, Maureen |
Hi Maureen,
Very generally put, Detox will make you better in the long run, the same thing with getting ridof your mercury-fillings (which is also some kind of detox!), Less toxic stuff in your body, the less you will be es, but it can take a while... And you must detox slowly or at the rythm you feel your body is okey with. Otherwise you may "damage" your body, for instance if your liver can't copewith it... With detoxing it is always important your digestion works very well and that you have enough minerals. And when detoxing you will also lose vital minerals so you should eat a lot of vegetables/... and/or take suppl... I think that's the most important, but there are much bigger specialists than me on this subject! There are 100 ways to detox and it seems personal to what detox method is best for you... I've also learned a lot on detox and side effects by reading old messages at this group... bonne chance, gr, Stephen. --- In [hidden email], "canary" <calmriver1@...> wrote: > > Hi, > > I was offered a position in Anchorage, but I am kind of scared because I don't even know if I will be able to be in the building, and they are not going to pay for me to go up there. > > Since I have been having interviews I realized I am still not well. The problems seems to be that people with ES are potentially more metal toxic than these doctors have ever seen before, and their treatments may end up making you worse, not better. I have been to several doctors who seem genuinely surprised when they try to diagnose exactly how metal toxic I am, as they claim to have never run across with such an extreme case of poisoning, and of course their usual methods for detoxing metals are completely intolerable. But maybe you are not this bad off... seems like the best options to try for metal poisoning are: remove all metal fillings and then take one of several possible metal chelators -- alpha lipoic (or R-Lipoic) acid, OSR, or NDF. And you may need to take these in tiny amounts spread throughout the day (with ALA, there is even a "Cutler Protocol" for taking ALA every 3-4 hours for 3 days on/4-11 days off) Marc |

I have been taking one 300 mg. of Alpha Lipoic Acid, along with N-Acetyl Cysteine. How much Alpha Lipoic Acid do you take?

I've seen other groups where it is claimed that if you take ALA only once per day, it is guaranteed to make you worse, as the mercury will circulate in the bloodstream and redeposit elsewhere in the body without much of it getting out of the body. Personally, the most ALA I can stand to take is about 100mg spread over 3 days!!! (and that is 5 mg per dose, with 7 doses per day). It is said that an extreme intolerance to ALA is a symptom of extreme mercury poisoning. Marc |
No, I don't think it is making me worse, but I don't know. It seems that Iam just trying things that I read. But, I felt like I wasn't getting better. That is why I was still searching out solutions.

If ALA mobilizes the toxins isn't it better to take a binding type of detoxlike Activated charcoal or Bentonite Clay? Loni

Loni ALA is supposed to mobilize and bind, but yes, in any detox if you are having bad reactions, adding something to bind/neutralize those toxins can make you feel better. I tend to use H-Minus from e3Live for that, or activated charcoal, or a hot bath. :-) Marc |

Should I not take Alpha Lipoic without making sure I use the charcoal?

Hi Maureen,
See how you react first. I take charcoal pretty consistantly. It is prescribed by my doc for detox. the ALA will mobilize some toxins so I think it would be a good idea. Just make sure you are supplimenting with Vitamins & minerals to replace what you may lose with detox. Have you tried to guage yourself?
Are you currently able to use a computer 8 hours a day (under fluorescent lights) with minimal symptoms? Don't forget there will probably be other computers all around you. I wouldn't rely on pendants to pull you through this, and it will probably take longer than a month to detox. How do you gauge yourself? I haven't tried to use a computer for 8 hours yet, so I am not exactly sure how I will do.
