I've got the insomnia also. Do you have to get up and go to a job? I'd be toast if I had to keep a schedule. The only thing that saves me is that several days a week when I wake up at 3 or 4 AM, I can take half a Melatonin, drink some Yogi 'Bedtime tea,
read and fall back to sleep until 8. From: steve [via ES] <ml-node+[hidden email]>

Maybe you shuold try peppermint and rosemary tea for the bladder problem. I heard on podcast several times that this works great. Problem seem to be solved after 3 weeks.

Thanks. I already have the book so will check it out. Sleeping continues to be a mess--it is directly related to EMF exposure and only to emf exposure. I get to sleep just fine (no racing mind etc) but awake shaking at 11.30 or so for the night (not anxious--just twitching muscles); also moderate pain . Without exposure I am just fine...but I have exposure daily. I take opiates every night thru the night. each gives me about an hour...but it messes with me during the day (codeine and darvocet--not at the same time; when my Darvocet runs out I don't know what I am going to do--cannot tolerate tramadol--I am allergic to these meds) My body is going downhill without refreshing sleep...just recently added rheumatoid arthritis (in my hands), fibromyalgia, and hip bursitis. The hip bursitis makes it painful for me to walk at all, so I am getting even less exercise. The cause of death will be listed as something else...but it is EMFs which are killing me via insomnia, pain, twitching etc. Not at all suicidal btw.
will follow up on everything suggested. Melatonin in any dosage does nothing or negative for me... |

Sorry to hear that. Phenitropic really helps me sleep. My naturopath gave it to me. Felt weird the first couple times I tried it and then it was awesome. Used to have more sleep problems, limiting emf has helped decrease. Only major problem is sleep terrors. But I do have some unusually high magnetic fields in the sleeping area I haven't dealt with due to the crazy cost it would be to block.
|
Phenitropic does work. One morning though I didn't want to get out of bed!
|
lol oh yeah the first couple times I used it I had huge sleep "hangovers" where I was very drowsy. had to take 1/2 a pill until I got used to it! now it works pretty great, been using it for maybe a year off and on

turn off all power strips at night and leave phones far from bed--i have a flip phone i leave by bed--i guess any one of the phones will call 911 even if not paid up
ive heard being near refrigerators are bad will taping tin foil to wall help? ive even wondered about carbon monoxide detectors some light bulbs are the worst |
I have a carbon monoxide detector on the wall right outside my bedroom but my Gaussmeter doesn't pick up anything
|
According to steven magee these and smoke detectors emit ionizing radiation! Your gaussmeter would not pick it up but a Geiger counter would. He says eliminate all of these things...but there is a smoke detector type which is okay. In his books.
|
No way!!! So now I have to buy a Geiger counter too?? Arghhhh, I have wondered about the smoke detectors in my apt because you can't turn them off. I can't wait to move!!!

Does he say how close you have to be for it to be a problem or does it ionize the air and infect the whole room or area?
|
he says it affects at some distance--like 30 feet. Do you have wired ones? or can you just pull out the batteries? I have 3 but two have batteries and I have disabled them... just because we are ehs does not mean we react any more than others to ionizing radiation tho... nobody knows I think. It's the law to have the detectors so not sure if they can be avoided. Of course carbon monoxide poisoning is not a good thing

Mine are battery operated, but I do have a gas heater and oven so not sure it would be wise to remove it. My meter is about 3 feet away from my bed, but outside the room (in living room)
