Advice Needed On Electrical Sensitivity Please ?

laserzzzxxxzzz

All my life, when I was near flourcent lighting I would suffer the
following syptoms - anxiety, depression, fatgue, impaired vision and
panic attacks and never new why, until I searched the internet after
purchasing a desk top PC. and found I was suffering from Electrical
Sensitivity . Now, I find all the above symptoms are occuring again
when I use my desk top computer. My symptoms are around lighting and
computers and no other electrical devices at present : consequently,
would be best advicedd to dump my desk top {which I love} and get a
laptop, my thoughts are that they may give out a lesser magnetic field .
Or will I develop a chronic Electrical Sensitivity condition with,
either unlesss I stop using?

There are many suggestions from past discussions which might be helpful
to you -- move the monitor and/or computer further away from you, use
shielding materials, try some EMF protection devices, try various
supplements or foods which might make you feel better, remove metals
from your body (including metal dental work), detoxification from
heavy metals, pesticides, etc.

You probably can keep your desktop computer, as a laptop will be
closer to you and may cause you even more problems. Although some
people have reported good results using a laptop with the Wi-Fi
turned off and running on batteries.

My advice would be try to dispense with using a computer for as long as
possible and get yourself as fit as possible before gooing back to them, probably
impracticable but it is notoriously difficult to sheild computers they are a
major scource of EMF in your face on a daily basis otherwise and it is my
opinion that when your immune system has decided that its had enough of a
beating from the RF that these give off it will only get worse with ever
increasing smaller doses over time, the immune system is after all a very smart
organic protective system and it can only be fooled for a short time before it
bites back. If I could find a PC or any part of it ie monitor, mouse keyboard,
base that does not set off my simple AM radio then I would hope to have 1/2 a
chance at using a PC once more as a means of earning a living, right now
although I am hanging in there it is unsustainable and only serves to keep me in
sickville !

Also remember, the individual components of the computer can be changed,
and it _does_ make a dramatic difference in the emissions.

The problem with your desktop computer, could be the power supply, the
motherboard, or the graphics card. If you have spare parts, it helps to
swap them until a quieter configuration is found.

Hi Paul, Laserzzzxxxzzz here, I found ES to be a very complicated
condition, my suffering at present is when I am near Fluorescent
Lights and computers: luckily, no other electrical appliances etc
affect me. Would you see my body is telling me again and again that
my computer is making me ill and in your view my condition may worsen
to the point where I may not be able to tolerate ANY ELECTRICAL
DEVICES? Also, a few other symptoms I forgot to mention - after a
late evening `computer session` the next day I seem to be in a `dream
like state ` for hours and chronic fatigue. But, bizarrely going for
a run or eating a `hearty meal` with plenty of cups a tea sometimes
pulls me back round.

You`ve got it - You need to take a pragmatic line on this, dont talk
yourself into the ES quagmire, but at the same time I think you are exibiting the
common symptoms espescially as you say about flouresecnt lights and the
hangover effect from using your PC, I have exactly this today and having had only
one can of lagar last night when I woke I felt absolutely awful/look
awful(yellow tinge to my skin), so tread carefully, keep your distance from the pc and
screen (try downloading Zoomtext 9.1 magnification software 50 day free
trial from aisuared.com - very expensive to but though) yes I aggree that some
times you can alleviate symptoms by doing something positive such as exersise
but ingeneral I find there is little I can do to help syptoms only to wait
until they abait.
Now is the time for you to become electrosensible about how you live and
move around electrically powered gizmos... loads of advice on this site plus ES
UK.

In your case and probably in many other ES cases your exposure to EMR may be
leading to depletion/deleterious effect on energy related mechanisms in the
body, such as mitochondria, calcium, insulin and so on.. by having exercise or
something nutrishious this may well restore/re-boot some of these vital
components... just a guess but shows how potentially damaging chaotic/chronic EMF
exposure can be.. Your body is definitely telling you something.. Take care

It also occurs to me that being ES you will be effected by electronics and
their spurious emissions and this will induce a cellular/immune response that
in itself is a form of stress but the sort that has come about via the back
door and effects us at a direct/deep cellular level where alarm bells will
ring beyond our normal range of conscious feedback/sense loops, as opposed to
audio/visual stimulation processed directly by the brain, but nonetheless this
will eventually cascade down to cause physical stress, that we commonly
associate with difficult situations, muscle tension, butterfly's and so on.. so
being aware that this is largely beyond your control ie at cellular level, as
you said previously, exercise, cup of tea... can go a long way to mitigate a
double whammy by reducing the end stage physical stress phenomena. Its still
a hell of a place to be though !

Hello Paul,

Thanks for an excellent response to my concerns, since you yourself
are blighted by this dreadful condition you seem to have a very good
over view of symptoms. You see, I have tried to convey my situation
to my nearest and dearest and no one BELIEVES me really. Also, that
`yellow skin` tinge you mention, does affect me also, somtimes. And I
will continue regular excercise as does seem to help. Thanks.

Yellow skin sounds like a liver problem. May not show up in
standard medical doctor tests, but it's probably safe to say
that anyone with ES probably has a liver which is malfunctioning
in some way. Although that is not to say that this is an issue
which should be dealt with first... (might be a higher priority
elsewhere)

Hi Laserzzzxxxzzz,
Yes I'm afraid that it's common for friends and family to react with
disbelief about ES, because it is so far outside normal experience and
"common sense". My wife has ES, and I struggled to come to terms with it,
even though I had been partly prepared by her previously developing MCS and
there being a clear exposure trigger for her ES. Some of our friends have
never accepted it ... Hope yours can, even if it takes time.

I'd also agree with Marc that the yellow skin might have something to do
with liver function - it's a common experience for ES sufferers that they
have underlying problems with immune system, detoxification etc.

Good luck, Ian (and Sue)

As for freinds, family and strangers alike, it is natural to want some kind
of sympathy and conveyance of empathy particularly from those that you respect
and love so when they give hints of disbelief, lack of care, down right in
your face disrespect for your condition say by taking out a mobile in your
immediate presence, it can really bring on emotional distress, you need to get a
handle on this one as quickly as possible to avoid adding insult to injury
etc.. I have not given up on stating my case even after 8-9yrs of
explanations and the deliverance of shed loads of proof, scientific papers and now the
global concern re wireless technologies, bide your time and especially try
not to become the poor relation/victim be objective about your problem try to
speak in the 3rd person its amazing the difference in peoples attitudes when
you do not talk of yourself but rather of say Joe bloggs or society at large
and how they are effected.. you get the picture..
you have an opportunity to benefit from the begginings of another LATE
LESSON LEARNT, you have your finger on the pulse here, so help yourself 1st and
foremost, and try to disassociate yourself from the personal emotional
onslaught that is the way of the Esser so far, ME was once a condition of the mind
but now has at least a WHO classification number, for them it was a milestone
but only a milestone along an endless journey, we have our milestones when
enough people get the message and there is a lot of good people out there who
have broken free from lemmingsville - that's got to be our plight so perhaps we
will have to harden ourselves to the ignorance evan from those that we love.
OH I am rambling sorry
