x-ray on legs and arms - to do or not to do it?

Wolf Man
Because of my multiple joint problems my doctor wants to x-ray many of my joints. I am scared it will make my ES problem worse. Any experiences about this?

Thanks!

Joni

IMHO:  x-rays are useless at showing soft tissue injuries.
I also soft tissue injuries in both arms, shoulders, elbows, and
writst.  I was nuked on my arm by a badly calibrated ionic X-ray.
I refused a second nuke.

As for Scan, they are very limited.  I posted an article on FAVC demonstrating how limiting they are, (by their own admission) from the Journal of Radiographers.

As for MRI, it's touch nd go.  It may show, it may not, specially if involves
inflammatory processes, synovial fluid and other biochemical malfunction.

I had an MRI a few months ago, fell ill for a couple of weeks.  After reading what it does to cells, and others who suffered side effects, I decided, unless, it is life and death, I will not have one.

Soft tissue injuries take time to heal.  This can speed up depending on what supps are helpful.  Personally, I read in depth about Nettles and would choose this treatment in small doses.

Caution is needed specially if damage is caused by fluoroquinolones antibiotics.  Worth remembering that various anti inflammatories are in fact inflammatory, including TNF etc... Auto immune illnesses have been known tobe triggered or made worse by such treatment.

It's your call on that one.

Best of luck.
