Some precautionary measures I take with the K400 keyboard:
 
  -Push it as far away as I can from my innards
  -Tape aluminum foil on the bottom and the side facing me
  -Turn it off when not typing

Otherwise it might hurt my stomach.  That's what an electronic typewriter can do, even though it's only 4.5 volts battery-operated.
