The more detail oriented we are, the more we loose sense of the bigger picture.
I can spend a lot of time reading about sickness, pathogens  etc (I have health problems since childhood, and doctors have made me much more sick by NOT being able to diagnose me the right way), but I also realise sometimes the answer is outside of the box.
Look at the one of the biggest problems we have today in science: over specialisation, and not being able to know anything outside ones own field....
Some times it necessary to fly high a look at the BIGGER PICTURE, instead of just obsessing on the tiny tiny things.
During the black death, people never suspected the reason for the plague being rats/pathogens/filth, they blamed all sorts of things like the devil, jews etc...
We should not be so arrogant  and think that todays science has all the answers.
Be informed in the bigger sense.
