Elle, I had a gymnastics neck injury as a child.  Had a cervical discectomy with fusion of two levels in 2009 many years later.  Realized that I was ES in 2011, but had ES symptoms from cordless and mobile phones long before that which doctors labeled as depression and heart palpitations; they had no explanation for the burning red ear, head pain, and brain fog when using a mobile phone.

Hi Elle.  I had a minor whiplash from a rear end collision 30 years ago, but I only began to get have physical symptoms from RF within the past 10 years... That was due to a work environment that had strong wifi signals and close proximity to a cell tower array.  It's possible there are so many diverse symptoms with EHS because the causes are diverse.  I'm high in copper and had dysbiosis.  Another person might be a different metal, chemical or some metabolic pathway... I had a brain MRI when I was younger, and it really felt like my marbles were scrambled for quite a while.  If you are on the fence about the test, maybe ask your doc what the treatment would be if they find anything on the list?  Are there other ways to eliminate those questions besides an MRI?

My experience with this is that I saw over a dozen specialists, did all kinds of tests.  All of the tests were normal, since all the docs were just fishing in the dark. I had symptoms. They were compelled to rule things out.  I had to prove it to myself by going out to the forest, far away from cell towers for a couple of weeks, and I began to sleep and feel better.  That way I knew it was something going on outside my body.  It was environmental.  If I had still felt terrible away from all the RF, then I would have known it was something going on inside my body.  As I returned to the city, wifi and cell towers, my symptoms came back.  I found a direct cause and effect between my symptoms and the strength of the RF sources.  Make sense?

It's good to have a trusted doctor, but trust your gut instinct on this as well.
