My Dell laptop does a similar thing.  I detect a pulse from it with an AM battery powered radio when it is turned off.  When I was extremely ES, I would pull the battery out each night and then didn't detect the pulse.

Subject: [ES] Turned off Laptop still emits something?

I noticed long ago that having my Lenovo laptop turned off, causes worse sleep those nights. Even if it's not powered at all, just off, with a battery in it, no power cable.

Anybody else noticed this?  The laptop usually sits about 5-10 feet from me.

I also found that since this laptop has an internal battery, pressing F1 and going in the BIOS there is a Disable Internal Battery function there, which is intended for turning off the laptop "truly". The power button stops responding once this is done and only connecting the power cord bring the laptop back awake.

So I use that every night since I cannot actually remove the battery physically because it's internal.

Just wondering what others have noticed and if anyone else removes the battery from their laptop at night, or thinking to experiment and see if it helps.

All electronics that are off but don't have a "hard off" button always continue emitting something, But the emission is extremely small..  I'm surprised that this seems to matter, so just wondering if anyone else is doing this and noticing a difference.
