Exactly. What you say is exactly what Anthony keeps saying.
Everyone is exposed to toxins, heavy metals even rain on us (due to industrial pollution, and chemtrails), we all have exposure to radiation (even Hiroshima-Nagasaki particles are still flying around, and not to say Chernobyl, Fukushima and ALL other nuclear accidents and tests performed in the planet), then less hard core radiation from cell phone towers etc.
We all have deficiencies in certain nutrients.... But all those problems do not CAUSE CFS, or EHS.
You need a third element to have CFS or EHS or multiple chemical sensitivity or lyme-like symptoms etc: this is EBV or HHV6 or cytomegalie, or any virus of that family that work HAND IN HAND with streptococus bacteria, and other bacteria (less important, but they DO cause disease, such as H pylori, clostritdium dif, etc).
More or less, what he says, you need a combo of factors to have serious mystery diseases, and the more fatigue + brain fog + pain + sensitivity + anxiety + problems you have, the more the viral load (or pathogenic load).
The virus originally was supposed to clean our bodies from hormones, endotoxins, etc, which all animals produce (that's why we pee and poop). But with the advent of industrial development, then came industrial garbage, pollution, chemicals, that entered the body through skin, air, food, water, clothes, cars, furniture, cleaning products, plastics, etc.
All these are very toxic, but still do not produce the horrible symptoms of diseases UNTIL the pathogens enter in action: they take these pollutants and change them into powerful weapons - very toxic weapons, from which we have little guns to fight against.
If you are familiar with Herxheimer reactions, you'll understand that pathogens evolved to produce weapons - neurotoxins- to doom the immune system of the host.
But the extremely intelligent liver is still adaptogenic and creative and fights back.
However, it is burdened by junk foods, alcohol, smoke, toxins, and when it gets burdened by pathogens, it's a bit like the last drop of water in the cup already full of problems.
Even a bit of diesel on the skin, or sniffed in the air activates a red alarm in the liver as all petrol made stuff is extremely toxic to us. Even the creams we buy in pharmacies have petrol (oil) inside that are very harmful for the human body, and the liver knows that, that's why it stores inside it (to avoid letting such chemicals hurt us).
Then pathogens use these as fuel for their own survival (as they know we get weak with them, so they build guns to fight our white blood cells, and win against our immune system).
We lose, we become then more toxic, develop sensitivity, allergies, EHS, CFS, problems with digestion, hormones, sleep, etc.
Any suspicious rash we get is usually the toxin from herpes or another bacteria - this extremely toxic gun they build using heavy metals (usually copper, aluminum, mercury) plus any toxins that sit in our bodies (specially in the liver that tries to contain them).
If you got shingles rash, you'll know how astringent, toxic these toxins are (as they do burn the skin horribly). Imagine that inside your liver and organs, and all the hell they are creating inside (before we finally see the rash outside on our skins).
It's a total war going on inside us, specially in the liver.
He suffers much before we finally realize we have a health problem.
At this point, the liver is at its tipping point, but it never gives up. It won't give up, it will still produce some bile to digest foods, still try to hide some new pollutants inside it, still try to fight some pathogens if it can etc. Until we die. Only then, the liver stops helping us.
When the immune system goes down after an event (the flu, accident, stress, e-smog, another infection, a bad allergy etc), these viruses come out of their hiding place and will attack any place that is weak - meaning an old part with an injury, or a place full of heavy metals.
Then with low immune system, other pathogens sense that through chemical sensors, and they come out and cause other symptoms elsewhere (or still in the liver, gut, skin, etc).
The toxins they create are either toxins that affect the skin or the nerves (neuro toxins). The more inflammation we get from these toxins, the more sensitive we get, more EHS, more allergic, etc.
I like his explanation because it seems to finally make some sense. And because now I know I have to eliminate pathogens and heavy metals from my liver too, not only the nerves, so I got a more clear strategy (like cleaning the liver, eating light foods, supportive of the liver etc).
As for methylation problems and genetic defect, Anthony does not back that. He says that all can be corrected, and that genes do not go wrong easily. It's not the body's fault, it's toxins + pathogens fault.
Correct these (chelate toxins and kill pathogens) and you get your health back. It's quite a positive approach that fits to what I always thought (but could not find clarity).
