Yes, that is a common reaction.  But I'm on a Facebook group where there are plenty of discussions about C-60 in general, and various people who insist that the Greska product is the best of the bunch.  They certainly seem to think it's the real deal.  

And based on my rather strong reaction to a single drop, it's definitely not activated charcoal in there...
