Canaree, your reactions to shielding paint and a metal roof are not what one usually hears.   RF should not be attaching to a metal roof; it should be reflected away.  Did you have ground currents that house?  Did you measure for magnetic fields?  Shielding can cause problems was when there is still a source of RF being created inside the residence (some electronics without intentional RF output might do this besides intentional RF emitters) which caused more exposure than when it could previously exit the unshielded walls/roof.

A word of caution with the paint.I tried this before but because you have waves coming from many directions(especially with the smart meters) it made it way worse. The room could not be used. The first night we slept in it my partner woke up and  fainted at the side of the bed after about 4 hours of sleeping in the room. My partner is not an ES sufferer.
