till i was 16 i had a dentist that followed the "drill, fill and bill" mantra like crazy, twice a year.
that was in the seventies when lots of holes were drilled into healthy teeth for profit's sake.
the last time i had 6 large fillings.
since then i never brushed my teeth nor visited a dentist for 12 years, no joke.
when finally having my mouth checked, there were only 3 cavities, probably damaged old fillings.
in my view there is in general too much focus on hygiene and bacteria and too little on nutrition and health.
a guy named Ramiel Nagel follows the same logic, his books are interesting and worth reading.
of course i do not agree and resonate well with any book totally, but with him it is close to 80 %.
these days i sometimes use a "waterpik" , supposedly more effective than flossing and certainly more easy.
