This could be because the copper is inorganic.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20150596
"Food copper (organic copper) is processed by the liver and is transported and sequestered in a safe manner. Inorganic copper, such as that in drinking water and copper supplements, largely bypasses the liver and enters the free copper pool of the blood directly. This copper is potentially toxic because it may penetrate the blood/brain barrier. "

Yes this his highly likelt to be the case, we find the copper is biounavailable copper, i.e the body cannot use that type of copper very well at all.

I'm very curious, how did you figure out that it was too much copper, did you test your blood?
"Adults have 50 and 80 milligrams (mg) of copper in their body, mostly in muscle and the liver."
https://www.urmc.rochester.edu/encyclopedia/content.aspx?contenttypeid=167&contentid=total_copper_blood

Blood is terrible for testing, you cannot test all copper load, however a properly performed hair mineral analysis is very good. You have to look for other indicators however, 4 lows pattern, 3 lows, low na/k, high cal/mg, low zinc, low phosphorus, high aluminum/mercury are better indicators of figuring out the copper problem.

Most of the amount is not testable since it's not in the blood, and 50mg-100mg is a very small amount.. a US penny by comparison is about 2500mg.

Yes going on from above, to test all copper you must sample every tissue on the body, not possibly of course, therefore you need another method.

Thanks for the info.
