Trackballs are not for everyone and obviously old mechanical mice are a bargain in comparison. But I have MS and they are a marvel for me compared to mice.  I have been using my original modified CH Products Trackball Pro for over 20 years. I have replaced the 1/8" steel shafts twice (a common RC car axle) in that time.
