They make a soft version as well, maybe that would be OK. I have fibromyalgia and always have to toss and turn. I suppose I could also put a cuddle ewe wool mattress pad on top (been meaning to try one )

they usually make sheets of bedding in
different degrees of firmness. 
so it's a goldilocks and the three bears 
kind of thing... one might be too soft 
(for one person), another might be too 
hard, and the third might be just right. 
i once bought a firm layer for the bottom 
and a softer layer for on top... worked 
well for me.  and i put an airtight cover 
over the combination.
