That tinfoil idea strikes me as completely ridiculous. I asked an ES electrical engineer about it years ago when I heard Dave say that, and he said 'ridiculous', also.
I used to live where there was significant ground current (stray voltage) from the power company. When standing outside the Aaronia canopy, I would receive a shock each time I touched it. I used a Trifield 100EX and a Gigahertz RF meter and this 'shock'
measured significantly on each meter.
However, when inside the canopy or exiting from it I could never replicate this "shock". The current appears to ride on the outside of the canopy but not inside, so I began to use a wooden spoon to lift the canopy whenever getting under it.

To discharge some of the built-up body charges at the end of the day, standing barefoot on tin foil sheet or metal cookie sheet for a few minutes (as suggested by Dave Stetzer) might help. I guess you would have to do it after getting into canopy to avoid
becoming an "antenna" if surrounding environment outside of canopy is full of EMF/RF. While in canopy, you could just sit up in bed and put bare feet on it (and then set metal sheet at some distance outside of canopy afterwards). I have much less experience
than others on this listserv - what do others think of this idea? Ellen
