I think she figured I was going to buy a pair right there because she sat me down with the eyeglass guy.
I'm going to get a few prescriptions if she lets me. One for a Progressive reading/computer lens, one for driving (which I probably won't fill) and one for computer only (the computer bothers me more than anything and cheap cheaters work fine for reading. If I can't handle the progressive lens I will just get the computer lens.
My understanding is that your optometrist was supposed to hand you a copy of your new prescription when you paid for the exam. I have progressive lenses for far away and reading, although I really use the 'reading' part for the computer screen because I
read printed materials best without glasses - very near-sighted here.
The only time the progressives mess me up is when golfing, so for that I wear the one contact lens which works great.

Ah, that sucks. The all Metal Free frames are so expensive. My optometrist wants $470 just for the frame.
I'm going to have to go to Costco and see what they offer, in the meantime I need the prescription from my doctor so I can shop around.
Still leery of the progressive lens because I don't know if it will bother me. It's mainly the computer work that bothers me, for reading I can always use a cheap pair of reading glasses although they are a little too strong.
Wondering if getting it just for the computer will still help with reading or will it be too strong for that?
Ugh, not enjoying this
