No, we sleep low to the ground so the dog can get onto the bed.  :-)

So wood slats, sold wood, etc. in a wood bed frame is what we use.  We tried a tatami mat as a base, but it smells a bit too much like "grass" to me (but is more breathable than wood, although it's not clear to me that this mattress needs a breathable base)
