Although for people who are affected by longitudinal waves (as Charles has mentioned), those do not fall off as quickly as electric/magnetic fields, so people could still have symptoms.  

I have certainly had symptoms from electronics that seemed too far away to be causing a problem, yet the problem goes away when you turn them off (or the longterm approach --- improve your health enough)
