From what I can tell on a search of polyethylene is that it's just a common plastic.  So if applied to a Mylar blanket it would most likely make it easier to handle, less likely to easily shred, and give the blanket a little more insulation while still retaining the RF reflection factor as a regular Mylar blanket.

Hi, I'm thinking of making a tent canopy out of Mylar as a temporary solution. I have seen that there are a brand of metalised polyethylene  blankets on the market that are quieter than the ordinary ones. Does anyone know if these are EMF protective too?
