Hannah, your story is so similar to mine.  I became ES after a power line communication smart meter was installed, only I seldom had tinnitus before the smart meter. I wear digital hearing aids and since becoming ES I have trouble wearing them for very long and plan to buy analog ones.  With or without the aids in I now have ringing, buzzing, weird tones and hear the life-altering low frequency hum like a diesel engine 24/7.  I have also lost 20% more of my hearing since smart meter installation and my hearing loss had previously remained the same for many years.

I plan on purchasing analog aids online since my hearing aid center says that they are unable to provide anything but digital - but they did offer to do the mold impression for free to send in to an online store where analog aids can be purchased.  These websites posted below sell analog aids.  I'm unable to recommend them as I've never dealt with the company, but if you do purchase from them please let us know if they stand behind their product and if you notice a difference with the analog.

p.s.  you should send in a formal complaint to your Public Utilities Commission about the noise nuisance created by the smart meter and smart grid
