I think there are lightboxes with LEDs - i think I saw a reference to that on the website of a UK mental health charity which had a page on SAD - so Marc if I could get a box with LEDS would that be better for an Esser than any other type of box?

I like the suggestion about the full spectrum lighting - in theory it is a good idea but I have big problems with the lighting circuits in my house so I tend to keep them switched off all the time and instead rely on natural light [of which there is increasingly little at this time of year] and in the evenings I use table lamps and a torch so I wouldn't get much opportunity to use the full spectrum lights. 2 of the rooms in my house are lit with those little bulbs in the ceiling which each have a transformer hidden in the ceiling and they are very severe on me - unfortunately there are only 2 lighting circuits and there is one of those sets on each circuit and so I have to keep both circuits turned off for the majority of the time - total nuisance but there is a noticeable difference if I inadvertently forget to turn them off

Patricia I love the suggestion about the ionic footbaths - I would be very interested in that and if you can send me your protocol that would be fantastic - you can post it on the forum or you can email it to me whichever suits would be great
