Yes - the fact is this rfi should not be prvelant to the extent of being  
permantly present on the wiring a little crackle here and there maybe but
this  is relentless !

I believe those are magnetic field measurements? They are used to  dealing
with that complaint but not the one Paul is talking about. We used to  get
just a nice clean 60Hz signal, but now we are getting <500KHz fields.  
Anything over 1KHz penetrates the skin and is absorbed by vital organs. Paul  
should not be hearing anything other than soft static. Then again if he is  
getting soft static he should also make sure he is getting radio stations too.  
In my situation something was hitting my area that you couldn't tune in the  
typical radio stations. My cheap am detector was useless when this
happened.  Fortunately I ran into a deal on a spectrum analyzer and trying to figure
out  a particular signal that's overwhelming the radio. It's intermittent
and a  little tough to spend the time on it. Once I get it figured out I'll
let you  know.
