I lived in Arizona for a year, and I noticed that I felt worse during the monsoon season. I also know that I'm sensitive to geopathic stress, so I believe that it was the water running off underground that made my symptoms worse. And whenever there was a particularly heavy downpour later in the evening, I would have a hard time sleeping.

This type of geopathic stress could be the sort of thing that you find in the literature on dowsing (aka water dowsing, water divining, biolocation...), which suggests that unhealthful energy is generated at the point of intersection of underground streams which cross at different depths.
