Yes, I think they do.
The only caveat is that is that you have them done by someone who will minimize your
mercury exposure during the removal. Like a holistic dentist.
Also, removing any other metals in your mouth (gold, nickel) is probably a good idea as
well if you are ES (the less unnecessary metal in your system, the fewer antennas
in your body)
Also, you should be healthy enough to deal with the mercury you will
inevitably be exposed to during the removal. As long as you're not close
to "near death" you're probably ok.

Yes, although what to take is certainly a matter of controversy, as
some people can stand to take stuff that would probably kill someone
else. The most aggressive thing to do is to have IV's of DMPS. A
much safer thing to do is "oral chelation" (pills) that pulls things
out gradually. And some people don't do any specific chelation,
in the hopes that things will come out gradually by itself if they
take the proper nutrients. I'm not so sure these people are actually
that successful, since mercury generally stays in your body for decades
unless you do something to specifically get it out.
As for things to take for oral chelation, the basic choices are
DMPS, DMSA, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Chlorella, Cilantro, mixtures
of chlorella/cilantro (NDF, HMD), Liquid Zeolite (various brands),
Bentonite clay, Activated Charcoal, and various other
obscure things (PCA-Rx, Crystal Energy, Parotid PMG, etc.)
