We could ahve 2 issues. Does it mean anything that our DSL went off several
times a day ever sine we moved here?  I read about ADT interuptng DSL.

Can it get as weird as a neighbor's ADT system interrupting our DSL? Where
would an older model ADT system be located? We have heard pings in the
house & have no idea where it's coming from?

I read that all Neptune water meters have amr inbedded in the digital
meters.  The water co. unhooked our
cable to a drive by reader from the  Neptune, but the Neptune digital
reader os still over the analog water meter.  I head a ping downstairs near
it Sunday.
